If she had won she would have had to quit the Knessset and it would have been nice to get rid of her for good. If she had won the election though she would have had real power instead of being a trouble maker in a party with 3 MKS. It might not have been at a national level but she she would be in charge of one of the countries biggest and most famous cities. The best thing about the result was though it was such a humiliating defeat which went to show her that even the arab population don't like her as much as she would like them to`which must have been a real bruise to her ego. Sometimes in politics things do go just the way you wanted them to.

She will lead another crusade against the State she supposes to serve. This time, kick her in jail.

She only has to give up her seat if she won but she is allowed to run for mayor without giving up her seat sadly. Long run I think if we couldn't get rid of her before the election the fact she lost is best for the country. The foreign media might not have all that much interested in an MK in a tiny party taking part in a cruise to Gaza. The mayor of Nazareth though when she speaks she would make headlines abroad. Zoabi and reality are far apart. She not only lost but she manages to show her total lack of respect for the citizens ( Arab) of Nazareth. She rationalizes her poor showing by saying, "The majority of votes went to a candidate that was the first to throw his hat into the race " So basically she is saying they are too dumb to decide between the candidates and just follow blindly. How sad! The reason she lost is the citizens of Nazareth want a Mayor who is interested in the municipality of Nazareth. They want someone to be in city hall who will work WITH Israel to solve their problems. They know very well that Zoabi is not interested in doing anything but working for the destruction of Israel. Zoabi is not good for anything but causing trouble.

Good point, after Shelly Yachimovich she is one of the worst looking female MKS. The question is though why did she stand if she never thought she could win? Is it normal to stand for politics if you don't think you can win, epecially as it costs money to campaign.

When she has been more active in representing the PA and Hamas than her own constituents When she has ostracised, bullied and shamed young Israeli Arabs who WANT to participate fully in Israeli Society including service in the IDF When she has constantly tried to undermine Israel wherever she goes - to the acute embarrassment and bewilderment of almost all her Israeli Arab constituents In fact the MAJORITY of Israeli Arabs DONT share her views - but shes not listening Indeed some of the most proud, the most vocal and articulate advocates FOR Israel are young Israeli Arabs who are confidently proud of their identities Israeli and Arab So Zoabi if you like pointing your famous finger, start pointing it at yourself!

but that doesn't mean the other Israeli arabs thinks different from her. they just do not speak out loud. Her not being elected can be simply caused by: gov cuts fundings to those who go against the institution, after all this is the arab society.

Israeli Arabs will thank us for throwing this terrorist out of the Knesset. Any other country in the world would has a loyalty oath to the country as a requirement for parliamentary membership. The law is clear you must support Israel as a Jewish state to be in the Knesset. Require all Knesset members to affirm their support for that or be banned from office.
