Regardless of all the big talk from the Ynet armchair generals, the real IDF generals know that an Israeli attack on Iran would be extremely costly to Israel and would not accomplish much more than making Iranians very angry at Israel and the US. Once the dust settled, Iran would probably go to the UN and get massive sanctions against Israel. Sure the US might try to protect Israel, but in the end the US will be forced to let some sanctions through, causing the Israeli economy to collapse. That is, Iran will defeat Israel without firing a shot. At that point, most of the sanctions on Iran will be gone and the US will have even less power than it does now. So if Israelis want to lose badly, go for it. Israel can NOT win, but only lose badly.
