The vast majority of Black folks around the world do not support Israel. They see Israelis as the evil white man that oppresses the dark man like in the days of slavery. This minister is highly misinformed about the Arab-Israeli conflict. MANY people commenting on this article have no knowledge of South Africa and they are passing racist opinions. The fundamental issue that needs to be addressed is that the Palestinian situation is NOT like the South African situation. Apartheid was based on the premise that Black South Africans are not human and they must be kept in poverty, ignorance and dirt. HOWEVER, the Palestinian situation is very different. The Palestinians and the Arabs believe that Jews are sub-human. And they believe that Jews must NOT get a homeland. And that is why they rejected ALL attempts to host a Jewish population of Holocaust survivors. Thousands of people have had to die because of this view the Arabs hold about Jews. Black South Africans were NOT given anything like a 2-state solution. The Palestinians were given options upon options in 1947, 1967 and many other occasions. BUT they chose war. Even if Black South Africa was given 25% of the country by the Apartheid regime, I do not think Apartheid would have been on the same level of the Palestinian situation. The Palestinians chose their fate and that is because they disrespect Jews and want to have ALL the land. What does this minister say about the over 1 million Arabs who are Israeli citizens? These people have the best education and they enjoy one of the best economies in the region. What does she say about them?

Israel has never offered Palestinians a 2-state solution. Israel has never even defined the borders of Israel. There has been many negotiations, but no-one has never offered anything official for the other side. On 1947 UN did offer a 2-state solution, that was not accepted by the Arab side. But the UN borders were never accepted by the Israeli side either. Israel decided that the final borders would be decided after war, and Israel borders are still waiting to be defined. SA minister is 100% right when she compares Palestinians ghettos in WB to the Bantustans. The political situation, size, freedom of movement and the freedom of work and business was much the same. Both were also controlled by military of a state where inhabitants had no citizenship.

South Africa went from riches to rags and now has one of the worst crime rates in the world. If the PA were to ever get a State it would most likely be as badly run as South Africa is. South African ministers should get SA in order before talking of "supporting" similar struggles. It has nothing to offer in the way of advice or finances. Do Arabs in Israel?
