It's sort of like destroying a gun for shooting someone. It's the person behind the gun who is committing the crime, so "punishing the weapon" is fine, but it doesn't serve as a deterrent to those who plan to acquire and use weapons against Israel. In other words, targeted assassinations need to be re-instituted in addition to bombing unmanned sites.
