1. Lieberman
Harold ,   USA   (11.20.13)
Will Lieberman needs a Visa to travel to the United States after utterling unfriendly words.
2. As long as Israel pursues its illegal
On the Balcony   (11.20.13)
settlement policies in the occupied territories it will not find any new allies and stands to lose the support of the few that it has, including the U.S. Not scaremongering, just simple fact. Lets hope the negotiations with the PA yield positive results.
3. Refreshing pragmatic common sense
Norbus ,   JERUSALEM   (11.20.13)
Lieberman wins respect for being outspoken; his earthy common sense should win him more friends and help achieve the targets sought. There are untapped resources in Israel going to waste. Yair Lapid is conveniently placed in Finance to keep him quiet but Israel needs a live wire financial supremo to plan , long term, the wealth potential of the Jewish State Tax leakage, Black economy, Super Rich tax avoidance, Planning value frittered, all go in the wrong slots and prevent any semblance of social justice. Lack of State investment in its technology successes causes much value transfer out of the country
4. Dangerous
Ed ,   USA   (11.20.13)
Lieberman is a dangerous fool. I was afraid when he returned to govt this would happen, and fear worse before this ridiculous coalition falls. Does anyone remember how many career diplomats have resigned in protest of his being FM? Did anyone notice how much progress was made towards repairing relationships with critical allies such as Turkey when he was out of the picture?
5. People Forget the Holocaust
Zechariah   (11.20.13)
People forget the Holocaust and the horrible slow fate of a Hated People without Arms our people of all types from communist to Ultrorthodox Murders. No arms hardly to Fight back and Defend ourselves .Nearly all the Russian Jews got out many to the USA which is no picnick .the Ultras study have loads of children in Britain and the USA there are Estates Drugs and immense Degradation.
6. To: No. 1
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.20.13)
No. He travels on a diplomatic passport, you fool. Besides -- there are any number of heads of state and former heads of state that screech "Death to America" on any number of occasions who get accorded red carpet treatment. Moreover -- ties between the people of Israel and the American people have not deteriorated. In fact, judging from the polls, American support for the State of Israel has never been higher. The current United States administration is antagonistic to Israel, but who cares? Obama's a lame duck. He'll be gone in 2016. If not sooner. Are you sure you're American? Your English language usage is horrendous.
7. its simple
Heshy ,   Brooklyn NY   (11.20.13)
The solution to get the world to admire Israel is simple. Follow the Torah. All 57 muslim countries will respect Israel if they did not eat pork, fight against gay movement and live like the Biblical jews. We throw away G-d and exchange Him for the secular nations we end up like German Jews who exchanged their faith for secular culture. Resulting in holocaust.
8. But last week he said something else?
E ,   Tel Aviv, IL   (11.20.13)
Ynet published something him claiming that ties with US were 'stronger than ever and unbreakable'. This was only a week ago. For the first time, I genuinely feel that Israel is on the verge of a collapse. With US not supporting us, economy at lowest point, rising cost of living and food and constant war threat and more people trying to leave Israel then ever. People are running like rats from a sinking ship. Can anyone shine some light on this? **not interested in hearing religious rambling on why Jews should live in Israel, I have a family to support and mouths to feed**
9. VISA
A V ,   London UK   (11.20.13)
Why would he need a visa, your arrogance finally it's at is end thank god !.enough shit we swallowed from you ,you.can keep your visa and give it to the millions Mexicans that you stole there country to make them legal
10. Lieberman is right as so often
CJK   (11.20.13)
israel cannot depend on one major ally. as we have experienced, it takes a single election of a hostile president to undermine israel's security.
11. What The Headline Should Be Is
(11.20.13)
Israeli and b.H.o. 's realationship Is Deterorating, NOT U.S. Congress, U.S. People (Majority), Republicans and Now Dems? Please Avigor Just Call A Spade A Spade! No Pune Intended!
12. 4# Lieberman is a dangerous fool
(11.20.13)
Not a grasshopper to a giraffe when compared to Obama
13. Allies
Donnie ,   gravepine   (11.20.13)
New allies?? Good luck with that Avigador. Just in case you didn't notice the US was your only shield on the UN since Israel was created. You loose the US and you'll be left with Micronesia and perhaps Palau as your only "allies"
14. Lol
bibi   (11.20.13)
"We have to find those countries that aren't looking for money" Have fun looking for those countries.
15. #6 'Sarah B' well duh
Sarah B ,   Tel Aviv/London   (11.20.13)
Of course Obama will be out in 2016, that is when his term of office ends. Hillary Clinton is a virtual shoe in to follow him as the first female President, as the demographics of the United States change. As for being a lame duck President, as you will be aware there are elections in the US next year, wouldn't put it past the American people to give him a mandate for the remainder of his term. After all you were all over Ynet confidently declaring that Mitt Romney was certain to win, so forgive me if I take your commentary of American Political Affairs with a pinch of salt
16. # Sarah B
Albrecht Klein ,   Germany   (11.20.13)
Perhaps Barack Hussein Obama is elected "The Great Leader" and "Eternal President" until 2016?
17. to #2 on the balcony
SEEKER   (11.20.13)
read your history. these aew not occupied territories. they are disputed territories. to be honest, why should there be peace when the pals have no intention to end the coflict or caN THEY END THE CONFLICT. TO ACCEPT ISRAEL AS A JEWISH STATE WOULD DENY THEIR VERY PURPOSE FOR EXISTING. PLZ LEARN YOUR HISTORY.
18. sarah b,#6
arne ,   chicago usa   (11.20.13)
I've had a tough day so far, but having read your commentary I started to laugh--you are the cutest--stay well.
19. #4. Dangerous
(11.20.13)
Ed , were you born that stupid or did you grow into it? Turkey, since Erdogan Islamised the country and cut down the army, has been neither ally or friend to Israel. Career diplomats are just that; not enough to get any further
20. Just have to wait
RK ,   Virginia, US   (11.20.13)
He's right with this bunch in the WH. Hillary and any Republican (other than Rand Paul) will be far better.
21. To all concerned : Obama is America's last President
TaylorT ,   TrailerTrash   (11.20.13)
All else is just wishful thinking...sometime over the next three years the mask will come off...enjoy while you can...you been had.
22. eyes and guts
Larry ,   LA (formerly)   (11.20.13)
it doesn't take much to notice that Obama and his boys are off on a tangent and care little about little Israel. However it takes guts to say it openly.
23. THE UNITED STATES (THE US) AND ISRAEL.
SJOERD VAN DER VELDE ,   OUR BIG MULTIVERSE   (11.20.13)
IN THAT CASE MISTER A. LIEBERMAN IS RIGHT AND CORRECT. LET US REALIZE AND FACE THE DISASTER OF ''ISLAM'' AND THE ''SHARIA/JIHAD/INTIFADDA/ISLAM WORLD CALIPHATE''
24. To # 4, what are you smoking?
ex-frummie ,   Johannesburg S.A.   (11.20.13)
What repair has been done to our relationship with Turkey? Lieberman is echoing the Egyptian point of view and rightly so. Israel is to close to the U.S. This benefited both countries for many years. However two things have changed. Firstly the U.S.'s world dominance is rapidly shrinking and secondly this particular administration is extremely hostile towards Israel despite all the spin to the contrary. Also the U.S. has too much influence on Israeli leadership and coupled with a hostile administration this is a recipe for disaster. I believe the 'BRICS' countries (minus my own due to their biased foreign policy) would make great alternatives. Israel cannot afford to be so exposed to the U.S. again, especially with 'leaders' like BHO.
25. "find those countries that aren't looking for money"
Jeff ,   USA   (11.20.13)
Good luck with that...
26. Blame Israel, not America
Mark Jeffery Koch ,   Cherry Hill, NJ USA   (11.20.13)
Leiberman blames America but the American people, and the entire world, sees Israel continuing to build settlements (which every single country in the entire world opposes), supporting a coup against a democratically elected President in Egypt, and trying to thwart every attempt by America and Europe of stopping Iran's rush to nuclear weapons. It also sees Israel, a nation with so many Jews who fled persecution and anti-semitism, practicing collective punishment against an entire population for the actions of a few. Perhaps the far right in Israel needs to be looking in the mirror before they cast aspersions on Obama or the U.S. or anyone else.
27. To: No. 2
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.20.13)
Please cite from the canons of law and convention why you believe it is illegal to settle non-sovereign territory acquired in the course of fighting a defensive war. REAL law and precedent, if you don't mind -- not the Jew-hating foaming at the mouth spewed by anti-Semitic world leaders who cannot stand the thought of a sovereign Jewish state and pick away at Israel while ignoring genuine violations of international law.
28. Israel needs the US and visa versa!!
Don Rosenberg ,   Palatine USA   (11.20.13)
With a radical socialist idiot as president, conditions will not improve until this incompetent fool is out of office. It is discusting to see the US give money to racist arabs occupying Israeli land. Judea/Samaris is Israeli land and it should be annexed and most of the racist arabs expelled, period, just like the Jews were in arab countries in 1948 and by European countries. Kick the lying bastard arabs out and tell them to stick their peace up their as.....
29. US+EU in appeasement mode
Sam ,   Canada   (11.20.13)
The US and EU would rather appease than fight and Israel has to take care not to be the sucker in their appeasement attempts. Israel can't run scared and has to do what is in it's national interest.
30. Ruffian
Abba Eban ,   Tel-Aviv, Israel   (11.20.13)
Lieberman is simply not fit to be foreign minister. he will spoil relations with more and more countries with his thuggish talk . Just think how the folks at the foreign ministry must feel after working so hard for many years to be dependent on such an odious character
