1. Typical UN lies
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (11.21.13)
The fact is that their whines have nothing at all to humanitarian issues. They are whining because Hamas used the construction material to build tunnels into Israel and now we won't let them have any more material. The problem is solely caused by Hamas and that is not a humanitarian issue in the slightest
2. to avert the crisis Gaza may have to evacuated to EU
jericho ,   causa   (11.22.13)
3. Hamas decided to stop buying fuel
Avi   (11.22.13)
And just like that the power station nearly completely stopped working there. Of course for some reason Israel still supplies its worst enemy with its own electricity while the Israeli power company is close to bankruptcy. But the rest of the fuel is bought by the Palestinian Authority from Israel (under market value) for 4 shekels and then they sell it for 12 shekels to Hamas. Hamas decided not to buy more fuel from them and now there's a complete energy crisis in the strip. As usual inept, uncaring and cold palestinian leadership eating itself and Israel being expected to nurse a murderous neighbor that refuses to take care of its own.
4. 3.7 BILLION $ STILLMISSING FROM LAST YEAR
...DACON9   (11.22.13)
THATS WHERE YOUR HUMANITARIUM CRISIS IS
5. A settlement will but such idiots out of
On the Balcony   (11.22.13)
a job. It is, of course, Egypt that has really tightened the screws on Gaza after terrorist attacks on Egyptian military and police forces. And the fact that Hamas used building materials to build a tunnel whose sole purpose was to launch terrorist attacks against Israel demonstrates the legitimacy of Israels blockade and the hypocrisy of Hamas. One wonders, what will the UNHRC and employees of the UN Palestinian Refuge committee do for a living when Israel and Palestine reach an agreement?
6. Better idea.
michael Pielet ,   israel   (11.22.13)
Stop digging tunnels. Relocate to one of your 22 arab countries.
7. money
bob ,   san diego, usa   (11.22.13)
just like iran, the money goes for weapons and to the "leaders", while the people suffer
8. really?
dave ,   china   (11.22.13)
1-audit the money 'donated" to the gaza authority. 2-build houses instead of tunnels. 3-why don't we ever see the superb villas, housing and shopping areas of gaza and we only see the destruction?
9. Why does Ynet continue using AFP and Reuters?
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (11.22.13)
This piece is loaded with falsehoods and uncalled for digs at Israel
10. Exactly! How are they expected to be able, to attempt
tom ,   tel aviv   (11.22.13)
killing civilian Israelis(as if killing our soldiers is permitted!), when the materials needed aren't getting through?! Have some mercy on the "Palestinian" soul! They need this in their daily struggle, just as Humans need air to breathe!
11. Crisis?
Warren ,   Sydney Australia   (11.22.13)
Don't you mean animalitarian crisis in Gaza?
12. They're joking, right?
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.22.13)
"The two officials deplored Israel's decision to ban the import of building materials – including to international agencies – from October 13, following the discovery of a tunnel that Hamas fighters dug to use for attacks." NEWS FLASH! Israel will not continue to provide materials that are used to build and shore up tunnels that are used as staging points for terrorist attacks against Israel. United Nations personnel have a very distorted take on reality. That must be a prerequisite for working for the United Nations.
13.  A Field Hospital' ? We are somewhat 'Cuckoo'
Roland ,   London England   (11.22.13)
14. There was no botched raid on the Turkish ship.
Ira ,   Woodside, CA   (11.22.13)
The action stopped the boat and killed enemies of Israel that sought to harm our soldiers. Sounds like a glorious day at work for our boys! Botch, smotch, we need more days like this!
15. blood feud penalty
Cameron ,   USA   (11.22.13)
16. Gaza
Sam ,   Usa   (11.22.13)
There would be no crisis if gains had not supported a terror group to govern. Neither egypt nor Israel is responsible for gaza and it's troubles. Only the residents and there leaders, Hamas, are to blame
17. Situation in Gaza
Ed ,   USA   (11.22.13)
Good thing everything is now o.k. in Syria so that the world can focus on Gaza. If bad things were happening anywhere else in the world Gaza might not be noticed. With peace, love and happiness in Syria the world has time for this…...
18. Hama isn't complaining
Ron ,   oc us   (11.22.13)
It's business as usual. Rockets are being built, hate the Jews and death to America are still being preached. Hamas knows what they have to do or a better situation, but they simply don't care. I don't even think the Gaza street cares either. Allah Akbar...
19. how bad can it be?
israeli ,   israel   (11.22.13)
they just bred lions in their zoo and named them after rockets shot at Israel. is this a bad joke or what?
20. HUMANITARIAN
Robert ,   Israel   (11.22.13)
Gazans consider us their declared enemies. Nevertheless we provide them, among others, with water pipes in order to make their lives easier,....and they return them back to us transformed into rockets that keep falling on the Israeli side. They get building materials through the Israeli border, and instead of building houses, they build tunnels in order to infiltrate Israeli territory as to harm Israelis as much as they can. What do they expect from us: kisses? On the other side they are brothers of faith and neighbors with the Egyptians and still they are a pain in the neck for them. Do Gazans pretend for the Egyptians to keep their borders permanently open so they can harm Egyptians too? Why do Gazans prefer to send their sick children (Haniye's grand daughter) to an Israeli hospital instead of sending her to the Egyptian Muslim ones? Is it that they don't trust their own brothers? What does the UN pretend to show about their miseries? The Gazan problem does not come from the outside world. The Gazan problem comes from inside their own people and territory, which they "export" into the outside world. And that is the main reason for all their miseries.
21. Humanitarian crisis?
Albrecht Klein ,   Germany   (11.22.13)
The average income in the Gaza Strip is higher than in Egypt - and those retards do not even have to work for it.
22. How about
Mira ,   Vienna   (11.22.13)
investing in industry instead of fabricating and buying missiles for living their violence everywhere?
23. Even the lion cubs prefered to die
Jean-Pierre ,   Holon, Israel   (11.22.13)
than living in the Hamas hell. There is a serious felinarian crisis in Gaza. The UN should open a commission of enquiry to determine that Israael is eventually responsible for the death of these cute animals (the lions, not the Gazans).
24. Hamas to blame
gemma ,   Israel   (11.22.13)
Hamas has refused to pay the PA the going rate for fuel to make electricity so all the Gazans suffer without it. But you blame Israel, naturally!
25. Why should anyone be more concerend about Gaza and not about
NLKatz ,   Israel   (11.22.13)
much worse humanitarian situations that exist in Syria and throughout sub-Sahara Africa...??!!
26. The timing says it all
Jean-Pierre ,   Holon, Israel   (11.22.13)
There is no more crisis in Gaza than at the beginning of the year. Actually their condition is improving but.... In November UNWRA has to present its budget request and Turner as a good businessman must justify the huge increase in the budget requested. So the 'worse' the situation looks, the 'best' chance Turner will fill in his coffers with donated money, this money that is badly needed in Europe to address their social miseries. Good try, Turner, you are a crook, like all your colleagues at the UN.
27. Humanitarian crisis
(11.22.13)
Haniyeh, leader of Gaza, proclaimed that despite the hermetic Egyptian blockade, Hamas can now launch locally made advanced rockets to hit north of Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. I guess by "humanitarian crisis" the UN people in Gaza mean they want more money to buy foie gras. I wonder what the 2 million Syrian refugees are thinking now. Unlike the Gazans who suffer from obesity and a shortage of malt whiskey, the Syrian refugees are looking at a cold Syrian winter in tents without food or heating oil.
28. Gaza Money spent on missiles and rockets
BUILD BABY BUILD ,   United States   (11.22.13)
instead of hospitals, homes, businesses or, even electricity. Why does Israel allow Gaza to exist?
