16. Israel heals. Fictional Palestine terrorizes.
Chaim ,   Israel   (11.24.13)
Israel is a land of economic, scientific, medical, military, business and many other miracles. Fictional Palestine is a nightmarish concept of terror, sadism, and genocide. How could one possibly compare the merits of these two visions? It is like comparing precious diamonds to dung in value. The only peace possible between good and evil is the peace of absolute victory over evil.
17. Congratulations Israel but....
Robert ,   Australia   (11.24.13)
I've never seen or heard any Israeli congratulatory messages to Australian doctors who have been restoring the sight of Africans for many years.
18. Greater works than these will you do
Gule   (11.24.13)
Which Jewish miracle worker was it again who said that? His name escapes me...
19. # 5
A Jerusalemite ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (11.24.13)
True. You should send this comment to the BBC itself. I already have. The more the better.
20. To: No. 17
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.24.13)
Well, you'll hear it from me now. Congratulations, Australian doctors, for doing what Israeli doctors have been doing silently for decades -- restoring sight to the blind, along with repairing cleft palates, cleft lips and performing heart surgeries. Feel all better now, Robert?
21. #20 What you describe is nothing...
Robert ,   Australia   (11.24.13)
....out of the ordinary. All western democracies do the same and some non-democracies. Sorry, I don't believe Israel has a monopoly on good works. Your claims to the contrary are wasted on those who know better.
22. Thanks for good news and hi to Fad
R ,   Israel   (11.24.13)
The good news in this article, and Fad #2's kind words just made my day so much better. Thank you!
23. Robert #21
R ,   Israel   (11.24.13)
I have heard about these good works, they are reported when other western democracies perform them. But Israel's good works are rarely mentioned. Media coverage of Israel is so agenda-biased and one-sided, that maybe we are more sensitive. You are lucky that you don't have to deal with this as Australia is not the world's favorite scapegoat, nor is it under an ongoing existential threat.
24. When they return to Israel.....
Robert ,   Australia   (11.25.13)
....they should perform their work on Netanyahu.
