Till now, he proved nothing in ALL topics Unlike king Midas, All he touches turns intp LEAD.
2. The sounds of peace!
michael Pielet ,   israel   (11.27.13)
Chamberlain said exactly the same thing peace in our time! The Ayatollah called Jews, "rabid dogs". Does not sound like peace to me!
3. What an ugly propaganda.
Jake   (11.27.13)
Hideous tabloidesque drivel. There is no "result" from the American deal with Iran. The nuclear enrichment continues, the activity at Arak continues, the push to a nuclear weapon continues. Iran now has enough low-grade uranium to produce 5 nuclear bombs. And all Obama gets is a lousy piece of paper, "Peace in our time".
4. History repeats itself
Albrecht Klein ,   Germany   (11.27.13)
The settlement of the Czechoslovakian problem, which has now been achieved is, in my view, only the prelude to a larger settlement in which all Europe may find peace. This morning I had another talk with the German Chancellor, Herr Hitler, and here is the paper which bears his name upon it as well as mine. Some of you, perhaps, have already heard what it contains but I would just like to read it to you: ' ... We regard the agreement signed last night and the Anglo-German Naval Agreement as symbolic of the desire of our two peoples never to go to war with one another again.' [...] My good friends, for the second time in our history, a British Prime Minister has returned from Germany bringing peace with honour. I believe it is peace for our time. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Go home and get a nice quiet sleep British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain, 30 September 1938

6. Iran Nuclear Agreement
John Hechtlinger ,   USA   (11.27.13)
What cool aide is this writer drinking? Israel is supposed to keeps it mouth shut to avoid antagonizing Obama when he negotiates a deal that gives Iran 6 more months to advance its nuclear program without the burden of crushing sanctions? Does any sane individual believe Iran has abandoned its goal of developing a nuclear weapon? Will the world be a safer place when that happens? Do you remember Munich and the outpouring of joy when Chamberlain bought one year of peace at the expense of honor, international law, and the Czech people? Netanyahu got it right when he said America made an historic mistake in approving this shanda of a deal.
7. Pen, ink instead of bloodI
Rod ,   Fargo N.Dakota   (11.27.13)
Is that the modern term of 'Peace in our time' Trusting Hussein Obama is like trusting a habitual liar of which he is.
8. so did Chamberlin

9. Who is this guy ,some schoolboy with "Let's sing Kummbaya"
ab   (11.27.13)
Iran calling Israel "rabid dog" hasn't sacridiced anything and Orly consoles himself with "for now " danger has passed. Is he expecting to die tomorrow and jubilates Iran could now exterminate his children instead of him?
10. Did you drink ALL the Bong water???
Shep Fargotstein ,   Memphis, TN   (11.27.13)
Le's get this s traight: Iran supplies Hezbullah and Hamas - Iranian proxie armies - with thousands of mmissles that they shoot at Israe. Iran opoenly says they are going to destroy Israel and in return Obama let's them circumvent U.N resolutions that are implicit in nnot allowing them to enrich. Sounds to me like Israel should be mad as hell that this was rushed through just so Israel's hands are tied. You can slap all the lipstick you want on this President and he's still gonna be an idiot who will go down as the worst President in history. The only people now who like him are anti-smities and radical lefitists.
11. Re: Orly
Eyal ,   USA Israel   (11.27.13)
He proved nothing?? He just signed and today the Iranians are renaging the agreement, telling the world they can enrich uranium and continue to built the Arak, indirectly speaking to Hezbollah. Oh yeh, you got it all right, not?? Orly, please go home. Don't need to know your liberal opinion.

That is what the Western democracies also said at Munich!
15. Obama = Chamberlain
Nora Tel Aviv   (11.27.13)
Appeasement does not pay. The more appeasement the more bloodshed will follow. Iran already says that the US did not translate "well" the "aggreement".
16. Not a bit premature to talk of results?
SK ,   Tel Aviv   (11.27.13)
Triumph of form over substance...
17. WRONG ! Obama IS the enemy !!!

(11.27.13)
19. For now !
Mohammed Hashim ,   Dubaim   (11.28.13)
The last word is the key word in the article .Odeological pretensions aside , Iran has accepted now Westren spies .So this is the first step in dismantling the Iranian weapon systems .We know their weaknesses now : they want to keep the regime at any price , so continue the economic pressure , the easiest step is Syria and Hizb Allahn, bleed them in Syria , Yemen , Iraq, take out some of their experts , and they will blink in no time .
20. Pen, ink, are not results. Azoulay is an Obama zombie.
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (11.28.13)

Son of Cyrus ,   UK   (11.28.13)
23. What is insulting Obama going to accomplish?
spyguy ,   seattle   (11.28.13)
There is a lot of hatred for Obama displayed here, so I have to ask a very practical question: Exactly what do you hope to accomplish other than irrational ranting? Obama is the leader of one of the most powerful nations on earth. Obama was ELECTED by over half the people in the US, and many of the people ranting the most here are LOSERS. Almost three quarters of the people in the US have ZERO desire for war, with anyone. No matter how much congress critters rant, they have ZERO ability to add anymore sanctions because the rest of the world will simply ignore the congress critters and any attempt to punish the third parties will just boomerang on the US. So rant all you want, but realize that you are losers and will be ignored.
24. OPed- Talking with Your Enemies
AT ,   Cedarhurst, USA   (11.28.13)
You're a fool. How do you think this will turn out in 1 year if President Obama continues "engaging" in dialogue with the Iranians - A better world? The way Israel is better off after having left Gaza and Lebanon right, bc now the world will side with Israel!!
25. Iran says this deal is America and Israels defeat
Mordechai   (11.28.13)
The end of the deal is Iran can continue to develop nuclear weapons like North Korea did with minimal sanctions. Obama agreed America will turn a blind eye to Iranian lies and pretend that a major oil producing nation needs nuclear energy. Iran has been very clear this agreement was Iran's victory. Iran got everything it wanted and this agreement fully allows them to do whatever they want with their nuclear program. They have also made it clear they intend to go to war with Israel and that their goal is Israels destruction. They don't care about a Palestinian state or the occupation just genocide against Israel.
26. Signing an agreement is not proof of its success
Ehud   (11.28.13)
Irrespective of what one thinks about the wisdom of the interim agreement (and I lean towards supporting it cautiously), Obama hasn't proven anything, the proof of the agreement needs to take place in Iran, not In Geneva! Azoulay has simply recycled the 2005 New York Times editorial hailing the triumph of the previous diplomatic agreement over military means ' successfully preventing North Korea from going nuclear' - and we all now how this turned out. Someone should inform Azoulay that the North Koreans detonated their first atomic bomb less than a year from signing the agreement.
27. White House just admitted Obama "misrepresented" Iran deal
Dr. L. Brnd ,   San Diego, USA   (11.28.13)
Exactly like his deliberate and now infamous Obamacare lie that "You can keep your health plan if you like it". Obama claimed that work on the Arak weapons plutonium reactor would be halted. WRONG! Iran announced that that's not what the deal says, and the White House sheepishly admitted that Obama "mis-spoke"] - diplomatic for "lied". Again. The agreement says Iran has to halt building of the plutonium reactor AT THE ARAK SITE; however, they are allowed to work full speed on building the weapons reactor away from the site, assembling components of the plutonium reactor for rapid installation at any time. So Obama lied - no actual halt to bomb factory, just a word game. This is exactly why polls show most Americans think Obama constantly lies, misrepresents and can't be trusted. A second example: Obama claimed that the 20% enriched U235 Iran illegally produced in violation of the NPT will now be "destroyed" by converting it to uranium oxide reactor fuel. But thats just a convenient storage form - uranium oxide is exactly the chemical form of uranium that is used to feed into the centrifuge enrichment process. 20% enriched U235 oxide can be swiftly re-converted into uranium hexafluoride gas for the centrifuges in a few days, and from there made into a bomb in less than a month. This phoniness and fraud -temporary and quickly reversible - is what Obama traded for 12 Billion dollars in permanent sanctions relief, including selling Iran aircraft parts to rebuild its jet bomber squadrons to aim at israel. The idea here was not "peace" - it was simply to change the subject with the American people - away from his Obamacare disaster. He is not even the fake peacemaker Neville Chamberlain was. The deal is all a lie, designed to halt Obamas slide in the polls, it is now being swiftly exposed so even Orly will see the truth.
28. Obama's direct mediation with Iran
Ziva Eliezer ,   Texas USA   (11.28.13)
Dear Orly Azoulay, I agree with you! You have written a fine article! Let's hope for the best...
29. To Nos. 14 & 15
Bertram ,   London, UK   (11.28.13)
I know how much some people love to make parallels with Chamberlain and Munich. However much Iran pronounces on the illegitimacy of Israel and wishes to see it destroyed, this is not 1938 and Iran is not Nazi Germany. If you do not see this then you have little understanding of either history or the current situation. Unlike Iran, Nazi Germany was an expansionist state seeing its destiny as the purifier of Europe, if not much of the world. In any case, if Iran wants nuclear weapon technology there is probably little that anyone can do to stop it now. If Israel thinks it can do it is deluded - and if it tries it will engulf itself and the rest of the region in flames. The issue therefore is how to manage the situation such that this weaponry is never used. Not easy to do, but worth the attempt.
30. For goodness sake, I don't agree with Bibi , however...
Cristobal ,   Dallas, Texas USA   (11.28.13)
He did say not to confuse the M.E. with the American Midwest, and it's not like the Midwest or the Rest of the World are Messianic heavens on earth. America needs to talk to Iran, but we've talked to Sadat, Mubarak, Arafat, all kinds of folks and things still get messy and America tends to become the aircraft carrier over there. Imagine is a great pop song, bottom line. Never confuse it with MENA policy, especially from outside the region.
