1. Only 12 days?!
Sally ,   UK   (11.27.13)
Pitiful, other nations relief teams will stay there for months or years until the job is done, Israel was only interested in the PR and photo ops.

You put it very clearly and succinctly. The Philippines expedition was a PR and propaganda ploy, though well executed, one must reluctantly acknowledge. However, given your perception, this move fooled no perceptive people.
3. The Jewish people owe the Philippines a huge
Al   (11.27.13)
debt of gratitude. In WWII 1000's of Jews were saved by the Philippines. Look it up. The sad fact is while the Philippines has huge potential, the people suffer from lousy corrupt political leadership. I suppose both Israel and the Philippines have much in common.
4. Grace @ #2
Sally ,   UK   (11.27.13)
Grace they did the same PR stunt in Haiti, stayed for a week or two then pulled out once they had enough 'good news' stories and PR photos, the self-serving backslapping was stomach turning

For us Filipinos the IDF mission meant a lot. Thank you very much Israel.

You see in others what you are exactly. Israeli Mission didn't have to stay longer. They knew what needed to be done. They did it diligently and swiftly. They helped thousands of people get better and also helped mothers deliver babies, bringing new lives into this world. I can't say the same about your teams who certainly will be spending most of their time getting drunk. You must be BLACK OF JEALOUSY because the first baby our Team delivered was named ISRAEL.

Your cynical attitude, which crosses over to hatred of the Jewish State, denies the assistence that saved lives and provided food, medicines, medical assistance, reconstruction aid and other aid to the survivors of the worst weather disaster in the recorded history of the Pacific Ocean region. Your bull excrement about PR is nothing more than a cover for your own disgusting, malicious Jew/Israel malevolence. Get a life - both of you!!
8. Oops!

The term Philippines should have been spelled with only one "l."

Have you done something good for others lately? We thank Israel and IDF for the precious 12 days you have volunteered to help my fellow Filipinos. They have left the equipment to be used by other volunteer medical groups that are due to arrive soon. The Filipino people will forever be a friend to Israel!
12. Help is given but Israel needs a lot of help also.
Michael ,   California, USA   (11.28.13)
The best help is when people are guided to help themselves. It sounds like this was partly accomplished by this mission to the Philippines. But what about Israel itself? So much help is needed to set this country straight, to reduce internal strife and to add love to lives of common Israelis. They seek love on the outside and live by themselves with a lot of sadness. Let's hope there will be a way for Philippinos to help common Israelis now.
13. Israel 54th in giving in 2012, a net recipient of charity.
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (11.28.13)
Not including billion$ in US military aid.
