There's NO WAY that Israel can become the "R&D capital of the world" ! Cooperative effort, countries can help each other. NO single country, can achieve leadership there are just too many different subjects to explore. Israel can and does engage in technologies that are promising. A tiny country like Israel can develop medical, computer, nano-techniques, agriculture, weapons FASTER,and in areas where small size (almost) doesn't even matter. Israel is small, can be quick on the draw whereas huge, multi-leveled, pyramid organization, slow down plannning; often top mnagement are business oriented, NOT expert at technology. moshe
