2. They are quite annoying, these empty-heads with black hats!
tom ,   tel aviv   (12.02.13)
I am convinced they gave that very same advice at Auschwitz: pray for the Invisible Friends intervention on our behalf. While it is true, that our belief/faith is what kept us as Jews for all this time, it is equally true, that the subject of our admiration & veneration is an lifeless totem-pole, represented by quite intricate and clever philosophy we call Torah. Still it strikes me as embarrassing, when I see officials of The Unseen One babble nonsense in public. Actually: most of their "wisdom" is pure Voodoo...
3. King David asked the Prophet why was there a drought in
Rivkah   (12.02.13)
Israel? The Prophet enquired of the Lord and was told it was a curse for the way the Gibeonites were treated by King Saul. The Gibeonites had to be appeased. Who has been offended and called for vengeance and HaShem has listened to him/her/them? The Rabbis should enquire of the Lord to tell them so that whoever that was can be approached to appease.
4. If the drought has lasted eight years, I suspect it is the
Rivkah   (12.02.13)
Jews evacuated from Gaza who have not been compensated who must be appeased for HaShem to end the drought.
5. are we in the 21st century?!
nadav ,   tlv   (12.02.13)
i still can't believe people are praying for some hocus pocus so that it rains? This is insane! What happened to the age of science and technology? How can such an advanced country like ours believe in all this superstitious, Medieval none sense of Orthodox Judaism?! It scares to think these people sit in our government and get paid with our tax paying money. What's next, we might as well pay for love potions and astrology from our taxes! Separation of religion from state is needed ASAP!
6. 5 Nadav. What's wrong with praying?
robert ,   antwerp belgium   (12.02.13)
If God gives a positive answer, wether for rain, health, fortune and so on, it is a blessing that cost little effort.

with praying , it's only a waste of time because it does not help . Thousands were praying for ovadia Yossef , result : a nice funeral ....
18. Ora , 16 . I think you made a mistake
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (12.04.13)
A gallup poll showed that 59 % of world population declare themselves believers [ only religion ? ] What's more interesting , is that in more developed countries there are LESS believers , and that religiosity has DECLINED since 2007 . Where you looked they associated being Jewish [ 75 % of Israelis ] with religiosity . Also that 17 % of Palestinians are Jews .
