1. Desperate attempt to salvage stagnant peace talks
Joseph Beneliezer ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (12.05.13)
Palestinians are negotiating a peace agreement like the Iranians are negotiating a halt to their Uranium enrichment program. If they can stall and drag their feet long enough, they'll achieve their aims. The Palestinians do not envision a two state settlement but a de facto one state. Time and demographics is on their side and they know it. Jordan is also on their sights and that is for future generations to fight for. Now it is how to sit and out wait the Jews... Yossi
2. Double Talk Guide for the Perplexed
Avi Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (12.05.13)
Over the next few months, we will read many convoluted terms regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. For greater understanding and clarity of what these terms actually mean, refer to this convenient guide. 'Urged'=Coerced 'Negotiations'=Arm-twisting 'Occupied East Jerusalem'=Gilo, Ramot, Givat Zeev, East Talpiot, Maale Adumim, French Hill, Ramat Eshkol, Pisgat Zeev, Neve Yaacov, The Jewish Quarter of the Old City (essentially, where most of the Jewish population resides in Jerusalem) 'Concessions'=Swallow this pill 'Painful concessions'=Get ready for an untold number of Israeli civilian deaths and casualties (again) 'Final Agreement'=The Final Solution (again) 'Hardcore prisoners'=Terrorists with blood on their hands 'Two State Solution'=Palestine and Jordan 'Our Middle East partners'=Corrupt Israeli/Palestinian officials 'Senior Palestinian Official'=Terrorist with a tie on a 'slush fund' payroll 'US appeals court telling us that Jerusalem not in Israel'=Lawfare 'We have your back'=Backstabbing 'Shuttle Diplomacy'=Let's make this appear like it took six trips to achieve 'American Pressure'=Leverage from scandulous dirt collected on Gmail, Twitter, Hotmail, Skype and phone conversations 'Leverage'=Blackmail 'Council on Foreign Relations'=Hill of Evil Council 'An agreement has been reached'=We decided, even if you don't agree 'According to (senior, anonymous, official) sources'=We're making this stuff up to fit our narrative 'According to the NYT, Washington Post, CNN'=According to White House officials 'Full normalization with Arab League States'=Israeli Embassies in Damascus and Beirut (A NOT Joke!) 'EU Sanctions against Israel'=Neurenberg Laws II 'P5+1'=Square root of zero+zero

Devorah   (12.05.13)
Avi, that is great! You should have your own column.
4. Peace talks will only work..
Ivan ,   South Africa   (12.05.13)
when the Palestinians announce to the world that they accept Israel as a Jewish State..
5. Low expectations or NO expectations?
Jim Yakamoto ,   Israel   (12.05.13)
The Obama Administration has shown its true colors. It has abandoned, never mind Israel, Saudi Arabia, the Gulf States, Egypt and its former allies in the Maghreb! Ashton, Kerry, the others in the P5+1 are only interested in selling out to the Iranians, just at Chamberlain did in Munich and are closing their eyes to the Iranian supported atrocities in Syria. The blood of 11,000 Syrian children has stained the White House and Syrian blood is flowing like a river in Downing Street, the Champs-Elysées and the Kurfürstendamm. Red Square is once again living up to its name and China only cares about suppressing its people, occupying Tibet and selling gadgets to the West! Kerry should be given the title of Persona non-Grata!
