It would be a mistake to tax fruits and
vegetables,but Govt.must apply 1% VAT
on as well as on Eilat.
VAT by itself does not bring big income from "black money" businesses.
It is an excellent way to establish the real income of those Eilat people and
market vendors.Therefore ONLY 1%
VAT is needed,which will be absorbed by vendors and will not drive a price increase.In return Govt. will get bigger chunks of Income Tax.
