Well, if that's your real name, then they thought you were Jewish and/or Israeli and kept quiet as a result. They didn't use Anti-Semitic epithets openly. They assumed I was not Jewish and spoke more freely. As I said, not all were antisemites, but those that were, were always Brits. Anyway I saw and heard it. Believe it or not, it happened. Regularly. I have spoken to many other kibbutz volunteers and most could tell you they had similar experiences. Anyway, just look at the number of British public figures coming out with Anti-Semitic propaganda; Roger Waters, Julie Christie, Jenny Tonge, Mike Leigh, Ken Loach... just to name a few. No other Western country comes close to vilifying Jews the way the Brits do.

the jewish state has survived much worse than traditional boycotts by the brits. the brits can snuggle up all they want to the islamic terrorists. their days of glory is gone. they will never have another churchill. british attempt to dictate to the jewish state is absolutely ludicrous.

to warn of the dangers of doing business in areas controlled by the Palestinian Authority, due to corruption, uncollectable debts, threats of violence, etc. To say nothing of doing business in Gaza. Business with Jewish "settlers" is much safer, thanks to Israeli security and the Israeli legal system.

Furthermore the 20,000+ palestinian workers in the settlements receive twice the pay they make in PA territories & are entitled to all the same worker protections as Israelis.

Sure, San Remo establishes an area where Jews were allowed to settle. It never said Arabs couldn't live there as well, quite the opposite. So if you want a binational state with 60% Arabs, just apply San Remo. I don't, I want Israel to be a Jewish state, and then San Remo is useless. It never grants Israel the right to establish a Jewish state without the Arabs in the area.

As I wrote, Gibraltar has had a referendum on which state to belong to. Scotland will have a referendum. The UK allow people to vote about their future. So when will Israel allow a referendum on the West Bank about who should get the area?

..which is: the illegal occupation of the West Bank. Everything else is irrelevant. Now, the incontrovertible fact is that the occupation of the West Bank is, without any doubt whatsoever, ILLEGAL under all international law. If you think that this law should change then please make the case but, in the meantime, please accept the facts.
41. UK has no problem doing business with Iran
Benji ,   US   (12.10.13)
The UK is eager to purchase oil from Iran and Iran has one of the worst human rights records. A bunch of hypocrites in the UK. Nothing better to do than obsess over Israel and the territories. Likely the same anti-Israel crowd that pushed for the failed boycott of Israeli academics.
42. #40 Jews have a legal right to live in Judea and Samaria
Steve ,   United Kingdom   (12.10.13)
As the question of Israeli settlements in Judea and Samaria is one of the most contentious issues today, it is important to remember that the Mandate bestowed this very right on Jews throughout the entire land of Palestine. I draw your attention not only to Article 6 of the Mandate which specifies this right but also to in Article 11 which requires the Administration of Palestine to introduce a land system that promotes the close settlement and intensive cultivation of the land. The phrase "close settlement  as used in Article 11 takes you back to Article 6, where it says that the Administration of Palestine shall encourage close settlement by Jews on the land. Furthermore, under Article 15 of the Mandate, Jews could not be excluded from any part of Palestine on the sole ground of their religious belief, a provision that also applied to Transjordan, even when it was administered by Abdullah from 1921 to 1946 under the revised terms of the Mandate that removed all explicit references to the Jewish National Home. The right of individual Jews to live or settle in what was once called Eastern Palestine, now the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, has never been legally revoked or altered, and remains in full theoretical force today under international law, despite Jordan’s illegal exclusion of Jews from its territory.
