1. You call this snow....hahaha ...you have no idea
Al   (12.12.13)
Here in Canada snow is our second name. I live in a house where its a balmy 14c, were it to be warmer I would be sweating. Nothing like a great snowfall and sub freezing weather. Balmy -7c today, went for 5K walk.

Judah ,   Golan Heights,ISRAEL   (12.12.13)
My aunts used to live there and Montreal was much colder than Toronto. The Golan although nowhere near as cold or snowy as Montreal still has and will be getting quite a winter snow for Israeli standards.

Hoping to see your natural water reservoirs filled this winter, from the Kineret to and including the Dead Sea
5. #Al- not quite the same...
Shilgia ,   Israel   (12.12.13)
I come from a country with lots of snow in the winter too- but it's much harder to have low temperatures here in Israel. Houses are not isolated (Yes we have 14 degrees inside the house too- would it be minus outside it would be closer to 10, I guess), cars have no winter-tires, the water has no where to go because there is no drainage system, it is usually very humid, so it is even more unpleasant... I prefer snow and cold temperatures in Europe...
6. LETS NOT FORGET Syrian Refugees in Lebanon
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (12.12.13)
LETS NOT FORGET Syrian Refugees in Lebanon. HALF A MILLION OF THEM The sick, the elderly, babies and small children Refugees in Lebanon who have to endure the wet, the bitter cold, the lack of care and hope WHILE Lebanons self annointed ‘Mr Protector in Chief’ Nasrallah and Hezbollah continue to make even more refugees by their sordid and brutal interference in Syria So Hezbollah practice murder in Syria and Lebanon has to pick up the pieces BUT despite the recent threats of Capital Punishment - the desertions from Hezbollah continue by more and more who feel they don’t want to have anything more to do with these criminals
7. The Lebanese and Syrians are not our problem
Gracey ,   Israel   (12.12.13)
Let the governments, who are supposed to take care of them, do their job.
8. # Gracey- they might not exactly be
Shilgia ,   Israel   (12.12.13)
your problem but some empaty is not doing any harm. I really do feel with those poor souls. I hope they all get some warm and dry and safe place to stay.

I have empathy for my own countrymen, living in homes with leaky roofs and going to bed hungry. Charity begins at home, remember.

No, it doesn't make their suffering any less worse - I understand that, but it's the Lebanese and Syrian governments responsibility to do something. Or, if the rest of the world cared so much, let them help them.
