maurice clebert ,   israel   (12.11.13)
judea samaria is not under "control" of israel, it is a jewish land. israel is not the occupier, it is the land owner. for more than 2000 years this place has been the heart of judaism. palestinian occupiers , go back to your country, jordan.

6. Double Standard once again.
Jordan ,   Los Angeles, USA   (12.11.13)
It always amazes me to see the increasing double standard in the United Nations. Although Israel has FULL control over Area C, when Palestinians ILLEGALLY build there, Israel, apparently, has no right to destroy them. To be honest, if any Israeli built in Area A and the Palestinians blew it up, there would be no condemnation whatsoever. Even when the Israelis build in Area C they are condemned! Radical Islam has taken over the United Nations.
7. These homes were illegal...
FireJeff ,   Jerusalem   (12.11.13)
Does the UN care about legality? Judea & Samaria aren't illegaly occupied territories, but only disputed, and Israel has the legal right to annex these territories, even if didn't yet. Secondly, under Olso accords, area C is under total israeli rules (civil and military): if Arabs PA build illegal homes in this area, Israel has the legal right to demolish these homes. This is what Israel did this time, not more.
8. Are they being deliberately obtuse?
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (12.11.13)
Or are they simply adhering to Josef Goebbels' (may his name be cursed throughout eternity) well-known dictum: "If you repeat a lie often enough, it becomes the truth; the greater the lie, the greater the truth." For the benefit of the terminally stupid and willfully ignorant, here we go again: Israel reacquired nonsovereign Judea and Samaria in the course of fighting a DEFENSIVE war against Jordan. Nonsovereign land thus acquired is not "occupied" -- it belongs to the victor of the armed conflict; in this case, the State of Israel. Israel is thus free to settle, retain and even annex Judea and Samaria. Period. Full stop. I note for the record that upon annexation, which is really the only option, the State of Israel -- like all sovereign states -- will have full discretion in determining who may and who may not live within its borders. For the record, the Arabs illegally squatting in Judea and Samaria are Jordanian citizens. They will be repatriated to Jordan. Things to take away: 1. There is no "occupation." 2. Settlements are fully legal. 3. Israel is well within its rights, having emerged victorious in a defensive war, to annex Judea and Samaria. 4. Upon annexation, Israel will exercise the right that all sovereign states enjoy -- the right to determine who may and who may not reside within its borders. 5. The Arabs in Judea and Samaria will be repatriated to Jordan, country of their citizenship. That is international convention, law and statute. International convention, law and statute does not allow for separate rules applicable only to Israel. The United Nations can go hang.

Sorry about the previous post-got interrupted. Can Israel take legal action against the UN or anyone else to put an end to this "occupation" nonsense. Can a court decide who is legally right? How can it be that educated leaders of the world can not know what is the legal situation concerning what are the the borders I mean ,there is no Palestine-it is not a sovereign country. What am I missing? I totally agree with your post-but then again I am so right wing that I can't even see where the left is.

Nice post-I agree. I am not a lawyer but why can't Israel take the UN or anyone to court to solve this problem. If your point 3 is correct and is proven correct would it not be

It seems an unnecessary act there are enough empty spaces with mega city capacity to allow the six million Jews Six million Arabs and a Million Internationals to live well. The Holy Land Attracts many Donors .The Jews being a severe minority have to control Security with USA NATO assistance .A Scandanavian contigent ought be appointed to control Fascistic and Murderous Forces internally.
