1. Tibi is a member of the Knesst of Israel.
moshe ,   Tivon, Israel   (12.19.13)
Even Knesset Member Ahmad Tibi should be treated correctly as any other member of the Knesset. I protest against any physical harm against Mr. Tibi done to him, by an unthinking citizen. This said in spite of my detestation of Mr.Tibi for his automatic alignment with any/every enemy of Israel. moshe
2. This is not the way to do it
geroge   (12.19.13)
all israelis especially the haredi, and the press and commentators need to do combat duties and not simply press officers. Tibi says a lot of things that provoke but pouring hot tea at him is cowardly and not befitting of israelis. I am sick of the rabbis producing generations of submissive jews who by their affectations invite bullying agains them and so they retaliate in stupid teas. You want to fight arabs-become a cop or idf soldier or volunteer patrol person. But pouring hot tea and using it against tibi or anyone else-No. What kind of bs is this!!??
3. Tea thrower is a miserable coward
Harry ,   Haifa, Israel.   (12.19.13)
He should learn to do battle with words and their content. Hope M.K Tibi is not seriously hurt and wish him a speedy recovery.
4. israel's tea party movement
david ,   new york   (12.19.13)
wasnt it also yael dayan who got "tea-ed" previously. got lemon with that?
5. Attack on MK
A Jerusalemite ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (12.19.13)
While I strongly disagree with most anything that MK Tibi says and strongly condemn most of it, this act is out of proportion. No person has the right to physically attack another for any reason. This is not the way to protest.
6. Zero Tolerance
Daniel ,   Tel Aviv   (12.19.13)
MK Tibi is this/close to being a traitor to Israel but he is actually a citizen elected to represent a minority people living in the country. His job is to promote things that he believes his constituents would want. While many people may disagree with his view points and others may wish him deported these are a far cry from a physical attack. There should be zero tolerance for a physical attack. Especially an attack such as this one. Scalding hot water burns. The injuries he could have suffered were severe. The person who threw this should be forced to visit a burn unit in a hospital and watch the patients there. Then he should be taken to prison and incarcerated as a traitor.
7. Racism ?
Nathan Rai ,   Bangalore   (12.20.13)
no one is allowed to cross the line and take justice into their own hands - its racism - says Tibi. So calling for the destruction of Israel and standing shoulder to shoulder with people who call for the killing of Jews is not ? Is he nuts or are we who allow such like him to represent us ?
8. When MK Tibi opens his mouth, its incitement against Jews
(12.20.13)
MK Tibi said: "There is not doubt that the right-wing's incitement against Arab MKs has an effect… The attack on me is the result of rising racism and inciting against Arab MKs specifically because of the Prawer affair."
9. Impossible to spill tea in his eyes unless he was lying down
Margie ,   Israel   (12.20.13)
I think that the tea must have been thrown at Tibi.
10. Tibi,agitating against the Israeli right and Russian Jews...
JJJ   (12.20.13)
This man is agitating against the Israeli right and Russian Jews in the most brutal way possible using the most offensive terms in the halls of the Knesset. This man and so anybody else shouldn't be surprised that a man with a character similar to Tibi should resort to actions that will make it clear to Tibi, you are a racist of the first degree.
11. Throwing scalding tea at this vile individual
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (12.20.13)
...is clearly stooping to his level and not the way to go. Notwithstanding, I hope that it was super sweetened.
12. Are you sure it was scalding hot enough?
Nathan Rai ,   Bangalore   (12.20.13)
Are you sure it was scalding hot enough ? Just imagining it was makes me happy...
