Your op. ed. is illogical, uninformed and ridiculous. Kerry and his leftist supporters do not give a whit as to what happens to Israel and the Jewish people. The Jewish people did not anoint Kerry nor did they endow him with the authority to compromise Israel and its future. Kerry has no personal stake in Israel’s survival. He is driven by leftist ideology and vanity. He represents the extreme left wing of the Democratic Party and it social agenda that is unable to accept the resurrection of a strong Israel on the world stage. Never forget that Kerry is the spear of the Obama Administration that thinly covers itself with court Jews for the purpose of showing engagement. These are not the people who you would want as comrades in arms. The Obama Administration cannot point to one success for the last five years. It has been riddled with scandal and a persistent refusal to display accountability in the face of international and domestic failures. Israel should not become the poster child for the follies of Kerry and Obama.

This article does not mention another option available to the US and EU: they could blame Israel for the failure, and begin to offer genuine help to the Palestinians. They could recognize a nation, impose sanctions to support it, and change everything. They likely would not, but that is also an option they have and they'll at least consider. The EU has a significant number of people who already support that idea.
