tician. Maybe Livni is on a way to become a "Stateswoman" after all? Shimon succeeded with something similiar, though more deadly: the Oslo Accords!
2. Calcalist's Conference?
Abraham Nachmias ,   Petach Tikva IL   (12.30.13)
I would like to know in first place why was she invited to speak in this conference, based in what in her background? Second place, what you can read from what she says is that what's important for her is just money, it's not important if we are right or wrong and of course detaches herself from religion. Just money and her boss's voice! I don't know why but I listen her and I remember the old logo of RCA Victor records!!!

Here is an idea - why don't you give your home over to the world and then leave this country. It will make this country a lot smarter. To say such stupidity and you are a minister in the gov't??? What a joke. Like you are an authority on anything. Have you ever actually accomplished anything real or you just spew stupidity and hope the people are dumb enough to buy into it?
4. One need not be a "leftist" or a "rightist" in order to...
N.L.Katz ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (12.30.13)
...appreciate that the Jordan Valley ought to be understood in the widest meaning of the term, and it, along with Jerusalem and all Jewish settlement blocs, must be part of the sovereign liberal democratic nation-state of the Jewish people, Israel. This was clearly understood by the late Mr. Yitzhaq Rabin as he expressed his views in his 5 Oct. 1995 speech at the Knesset, his last at the house, and one that is dubbed to these days as the Contour-for-Peace. And, Mr. Rabin knew of course a thing or two about the desire for peace, but also about Israel's vital national and security interests, of which the Jordan Valley under Israel's sovereignty was one. It would be useful for both Mr. Obama and Mr. Kerry to learn Rabin's thinking and begin to appreciate that which they, so far, have failed to do with regard to Israel's not only historic/natural, ethical and legal rights over the territories in question, but also its security rights aw well.

Get your head out of the sand because she is 100% right, you may fight it but in the end justice always prevails - even if it takes another 60 years. From the moment you and others realizes that the course of our current and previous governments have been deadly wrong, we will finally have a future.
8. Like Ancient Roman Coloseum. If thumb up Israel lives
Alan ,   SA   (12.30.13)
If thumb down Israel must die. So EU and Obama are in the Imperator seat'.They will decide Israel's fate while the screaming ,catcalling hordes of Arabs etc who can do nothing about Israel themselves ,call to the Imperators for Israel's death from the cheaper UN seats. It is better to resist them all .
9. Well Tzipi
Dan ,   Tel-Aviv, Israel   (12.30.13)
How about telling us just what have the talks achieved so far? and how are they progressing ? if both sides are showing goodwill there should be some progress!!! I am for compromise and some treaty but not something too one sided, so how about our govt giving us some progress report.

Spoken like a true hawkish zionist! For once Livni is speaking the truth, but you are not man enough to admit the horrific, inhumane and criminal route that your people are taking you lot. We are winning you fool, and boycots are one peaceful way to defeat you. BDS!
12. Fire her now
Joe Fraser   (12.30.13)
A minister in government needs to speak more wisely.
13. I just listened Reshet Bet
Mira ,   Vienna   (12.30.13)
Ya'alon said something really, really wise: "To Europe: having the choice between European boycott and thousands of rockets coming from all sides unto our soil, we will happily vote for the boycott!" That's having guts!
14. Our next PM
paulD ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (12.30.13)
You can bet that every enemy of Israel will give Livni money in the next election. The legal way for the degenerates to promote the genocide of the state.

Norbus ,   JERUSALEM   (12.30.13)
Who cares about economic glass ceilings when they want to bury us? Who gives a damn about living in a world governed by Sodom & Gomorrah lawlessness Who cares what the world tells you to do, if it is guiding you to another Holocaust Livni, It is time you grew up and shed your delusion that you alone with Kerry and Erkat can save the world by make the Trojan Horse for the Jewish State
17. As Israel gears up for 20th IMTM in Tel Aviv
ASTRONAUT ,   SC, USA   (12.30.13)
From another atricle in today's YNet: "Some 40 delegations are expected to participate in the 20th International Mediterranean Tourism Market (IMTM), which will be held in February at the Israel Trade Fairs and Convention Center in Tel Aviv." Disconnected, Ms. Livni? If anything, Am Yisrael has proven herself to be a VITAL PLAYER in the WORLD ECONOMY! Go back to your daydreams, Tsippelah.
18. Thank you for one sane voice
Eldar ,   Haifa   (12.30.13)
Personally, I don't like Kadima or its Knesset Members, but they are the only voices of reality in the current government. Israel is well on its way to becoming an international pariah and Netanyahu and its government are doing NOTHING to avoid it. Our obsession with settlements is dragging down the entire third temple...
19. #4 It is a blessing that Obama and Kerry are biased
Tarbouche ,   Aswan   (12.30.13)
to the degree that most men of reason can see clearly where they are driving us to; Both men have baggage from earlier life events, that damn them for the rabid anti Semites they are. Michelle Obama when at Princeton showed her true colours that today reflect on a deluded Obama, who himself bragged to Chicago cronies that he knows how to destroy Israel and who has surrounded himself, with a harem. had he been straight of women who hate Israel and loath Jews. Samantha Powers, Suzan Rice, Huma Abedin, Velerie Jarrett etc etc The stench of Kerry's Vietnam record has yet to be removed despite the piles of money he inherited and married, and it was the man himself who committed the heinous act of introducing the Obama curse on America and the world. Obama and Kerry are too well aware of Rabin's speech, but not only have they no intention of abiding buy it, they will try to do the opposite to expose the nerve points.
20. Give us a break, we are not stupid
Scott ,   Haifa   (12.30.13)
We will be prospered and blessed without Mr. Obama's and John Kerry's ridiculous solutions. Enough already!
21. #18 : Eldar , Haifa
In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king. Livni has plenty of emotion but not enough logic for rational thought. Glad to hear some agree with her
22. #16 Livni in the bubble swinging with the mighty
Tambour ,   Eilat   (12.30.13)
is too deluded and limited to welcome a boycott that will force Israel to attain economic and defence independence from the USA , denuded by one Barry Seroto, aka Obama of its constitution, morality, loyalty. and G-d Almighty. Meantime, if the sane elements of the world want to go with the evil to shun medicinal cures, agricultural know how, Water technology, aero space defence, renewable energy, they will have lost their sanity
23. ms livni lives in a bubble
david ,   new york   (12.30.13)
detached from reality. she seems to have no ability to comprehend that giving away more land and weakening the country further is not going to make us loved. we are being used as a scapegoat for all the arabs to explain why they are such losers and to explain why their tyrants should be able to kill people left and right (e.g. assad, moslem brotherhood, iranians). it has absolutely nothing to do with a piece of real estate. mind you, 50% of germans at the time of the nazis never met a jew, but were willing to start a world war over them ans to exterminate people they never saw. facts will not change this (if you still have questions, look at what livni and her gang did with gaza. did "disengagement" make us more loved in the world??)
24. Livni's statement
Harold ,   USA   (12.30.13)
Livni is right. I said it then and I say it now that the EU has a long list of sanctions against Israel if the peace process fails. Europe needs the Middle East conflict be solved more than the United States. The Israeli leaders should learn something from Livni.
25. what can one say
hy   (12.30.13)
yechaimovitch, the journalist says there is no threat from the jordan border if abbas gets soveriegnty over it. Peri, a police official and a military flunkee like halutz whose opinions are worthless says regev's bill is a provocation and manipulaiton. He is blinded by oslo and has no idea of what is in the arab heart(they are consistent, the jews are not). Herzog, lvini. Arrogant lapid who did no combat and is an arrogant pacifist liike his father was an olmert crony. Give me a break. These are the guys to defend the state if rockets hit ben gurion??!! There would be no israel without yaalon, ahronovitch, bennett, bibi on good days, shamir, landau, uriel. Half of israelis are still sick from the holocaust with fear, with kissing up to big brother obama, to oh my god,w e must not offend europe. Yes offend europe, live to hell with everyone else like kerry who is digging israel's grave. Livni if she succeeds will be the one to finally succeed with the final solution.
26. Livni is 100% right
Dan   (12.30.13)
Israel under Netanyahu has dug itself into a deep hole but refuses to look out of it. The rest of the world sees how stupidly Israel is behaving, putting itself beyond international sympathy or help by pursuing a ridiculous Greater Israel fantasy that NO ONE can agree to, and giving the Arabs an excuse for aggression. Wake up, my country, or die.
27. TO N.L. Katz - Qatzrin # 4.
FO ,   Belgium   (12.30.13)
Tell me Mr. Katz, why should Mr. Obama and Mr. Kerry learn Rabin's thinking, while Mrs. Livni radically opposes it? Presenting Rabin as an icon of the Oslo Process, is a criminal manipulation of the Left. Rabin was against a so-called Palestinian state, what he called a third state, and considered it as a time bomb, as well for Jordan as for Israel. Utterly stupid, taking Mrs. LIvni in the government, and particularly as minister of justice!
28. Livni is right!
Eric ,   Toronto   (12.30.13)
I love Israel, and I want to see Israel prosper in peace. But it is not right for Israel to keep another people under its rule. Yes, there are serious security issues with the West Bank and yes, the Pals hate the Jews. But unless some sort of peace is negotiated (and this will require international assurances and concrete security measures), the ever continuing settlements in the West Bank will bring Israel more boycotts and isolation in the world. I respect Livni for having the courage to state this.
