1. Why remove Hebrew lettering...
Ivan ,   South Africa   (01.06.14)
let the refugees know who is helping them.....and if they don't like tough luck..
2. ""They asked us to remove all Hebrew lettering,"
A ,   Belgium   (01.06.14)
Why? Are the Syrian refugees, who have nothing anyway, ashamed or embarrased at recieving aid from the "zionist enemy"? Hopefully every package will have "from Israel with love" stamped on it.
3. Admirable.
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.06.14)
Simply admirable, I tell you. What of elderly Israelis who need warm clothing and blankets? Any objections from the students doing the collecting to that? No need to remove Hebrew markings from anything, although I think a warm greeting tucked inside a coat pocket would be nice. Charity begins at home, does it not? Moreover, the United Nations has a multi-billion dollar budget to deal with refugees. Perhaps if the UNRWA and High Commissioner for Refugees stopped resting their hindquarters and did their jobs, for a change .....

Madeleine ,   Israel   (01.06.14)
One of the reasons for removing the Hebrew is to protect the recipients. They might be happy to have aid from israel, but the authorities aren't. Same reasonwhy we protect the identities of Syrians who are being treated in our hospitals. Could bode for any family still in Syria, of for them when they return.
5. Who foments, benefits from, Shia-Sunni sectarianism? Obama

6. I hope they are writing in Arabic, "from Israel with Love"
Andi ,   Israal   (01.06.14)
They wouldn't understand Hebrew anyway
7. Don't you dare remove the Hebrew lettering!!!!!
disgusted ,   Tel Aviv   (01.06.14)
If they are so offended at being helped by Israeli children and soldiers who collect clothing and bedding to help them after they have been slaughtered by their fellow Muslims - then let them starve and freeze. They deserve it. PLEASE do NOT remove the Hebrew lettering. We should be proud of what we are doing and if it upsets them to received help from us - then scr*w them. Freeze and starve. They deserve it.

It is a mitzvah, it can be done quietly with the understanding you are helping children, no need to be brutal.
9. #8 - Thank You!
Ben ,   Chutzlaaretz   (01.06.14)
Glad to see someone gets it right! A true mitzvah doesn't require the recipient to know who has helped him. Let's help these people for the sake of helping them, not for the sake of getting "credit" for helping them.
10. "Israel ranks low in international giving"
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (01.06.14)
"Total philanthropy in Israel is $5.5 billion a year, but much of that money originates from (foreign sources). We are the biggest importer of philanthropy money in the world. Ten years ago, 72% of Israel's philanthropy came from overseas. Today it's about 62%."
11. Maybe that's because
Leah   (01.06.14)
most of our money goes on defence against terrorists and states bent on destroying the Jewish entity and then the western world?
12. To: No. 8
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.06.14)
What do you want to bet that the clothing and bedding donated will be put on sale at exorbitant prices to other Syrians who received nothing, or to locals not in the refugee camps?
13. #12 , point is what
ee ,   ny usa   (01.07.14)
That no effort is made to help. I don't know how you were raised, but sharing to those who have not, is a Good thing!

I agree 100% What's worse is that if the IDF donates unused equipment, Syrian infiltrators could potentially use it to attack an army base by sneaking across the border in what looks like an Israeli uniform. I hope they don't give them anything that can be used against Israel later.
