2. BS excuse by the Scandanavian money managers
Jacob Blues ,   New York City, USA   (01.08.14)
Elbit systems (ESLT - NASDAQ) is trading near the Company's 52-week high, and on a PE/G ratio, is trading a little on the high side at roughly 1.09x (based on avg FY2014 EPS estimate of $5.00 a share and 5-year growth rate of 10.9%). You would at least hope that if these Euro-Jew haters are going to push the BDS mantra we could at least get some investment discounts out of it.
3. So what?
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.08.14)
Soon there will be an independent "Palestinian" entity. Whatever will the EU member states do then? Should be fun to watch their reaction, as the new entity goes from EU state to EU state .... beggar's bowl in hand.

Liq Madiq ,   NY   (01.08.14)
There are reports that all of UK's major pension funds will be doing the same There is no point in sticking your head up your rear. BDS is a reality and growing fast
5. # 3 Sarah dear
Stan ,   Israel   (01.08.14)
IF a Palestinian State comes into being (God willing) then many of us in Israel will sigh a sigh of relief. If not, and the present status quo continues, then we all know how it will end. The boycott and sanctions against SA increased slowly for 25 years until the White regime collapsed. Just as is the case with Israel, no military force could defeat SA, but even with all that country's mineral wealth, they eventually succumbed.
6. Holland stick to what you know - cheese, tulips & clogs.
Ivan ,   South Africa   (01.08.14)
7. DUTCH TREAT!
ASTRONAUT ,   SC, USA   (01.08.14)
How are your COLONIES doing in The Dutch West indies, Holland? You know: Aruba, CuraƧao, St. Maarten . . . un der Caribisch Nederland? Two-faced usurpers.
8. the dutch vision....
richard ,   Hague   (01.08.14)
is dumn. That why they are the economic disaster of Europe (9% unemployment) .....afraid form their mosilms... This is what it deserves. Israel being nr 2 on nasdaq should do business with a country that has a future. Not Holland.
9. Dutch Police Tricked Jews 1943
Zithromax   (01.08.14)
Dutch Police reassured Jews destined for genocide that they were to be resettled and the Settlements are a Just answer to the Arab Revolts from 1882 onwards to Jewish escape from Genocide to their ancient Homeland .
10. Oh all this is double Dutch
max delpenion ,   Gibraltar   (01.08.14)
ditch the Dutch, as they themselves no longer rule their sinking country.there are more Muslims, North Africans iraquis, kurds Turks and Afghans , than indigenous Dutch. so they don't speak from their hearts they speak and act according to their brainwash.their double standards can only be attributed to their weaknesses and stupidity.
11. To: No. 5
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.08.14)
Completely different scenario, dear. Israel did fight a war -- six of them, actually; all of them started by the Arabs. Israel emerged victorious each time. There are consequences which accrue to those who wage wars of aggression; these consequences are not necessarily pleasant. They are deliberately designed to be unpleasant -- it's supposed to guarantee that going to war not reward the aggressor. I am far more concerned about the rule of law, international convention governing armed conflict, and the consequences thereof. I am also very well aware that anti-Israel sentiment is really only the "new anti-Semitism" -- targeting for destruction that most tangible symbol of the Jewish people: the State of Israel. Israel has far more leverage than most people realize; effective leverage. The ersatz "Palestinians" have nothing to offer the world and, sooner or later, people will come to realize them for the violent terrorist rabble they are. I am against giving up land, because that land was hard-fought and hard-won. It is nothing short of absurd that a terrorist-cum-"head of state" -- Abbas -- should actually have pretensions to claiming East Jerusalem as a capital. If the world is hell-bent on dismantling a state, let them take apart Jordan, a country created out of whole cloth to soothe the ruffled feathers of a younger brother (of Feisal) who wanted to be a king, too. We gave back Sinai, and look where it has gotten us: it opened the door to a whole new stress: what to do with illegal Africans. We gave back Gaza, and look where it has gotten us -- a terrorist rabble that is a constant threat to Israel. Let's not give back any more territory; it was a bad precedent to begin with. That is why the international community of nations continues to demand more and more and more. Annex Judea and Samaria and repatriate its Arab population to Jordan, country of their citizenship. If it must be a forced repatriation -- well, so be it. Why should the Arabs be treated any differently than any other aggressors who have lost wars? I don't see similar demands made of any other country. What do you think the Poles would say if presented with the demand to restore East Prussia to Germany? What do you think the Croatians would say should Italy demand the return of Istria? What do you think the United States would say should Japan demand the restoration of Okinawa? So why would anyone expect the sovereign State of Israel to act any differently in the face of a demand to restore territory to a defeated belligerent?

edwin ,   holland   (01.08.14)
Usurpers? The only reason they are part of the kingdom still is because they WANT us despite our endeavors to accomplish the opposite. Boy do we wqnt to get rid of them. We cant however, because of legalistics. GOD, are we done with them. We are however a safe port for them to send their criminals to, so the carribean countries will never allow a rupture.
13. Dutch pension fund divestment
graczek ,   Maryland, USA   (01.08.14)
In a word, BRAVO!!! BDS lives and grows! Soon it will be worldwide!
14. To: No. 4
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.08.14)
Really? Do you mean like the ASA? What's growing by leaps and bounds is the "Buycott Israel" movement. Eat your heart out. Europe doesn't matter any more, haven't you heard?
15. To: Ivan at No. 6
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.08.14)
Don't forget canal jumping and cocoa .... oh, and whorehouses and "coffee bars," where the Dutch smoke dope. Oh, a real bastion of civilized behavior, the Dutch. Just ask the Indonesians and the South Moluccans! Or the Boers (your neck of the woods). Didn't they invent concentration camps?

This is just the beginning. Other main sanctions will follow. Never forget 70 percent of Israel's export goes to Europe.
17. To All Commentators
Harold ,   USA   (01.09.14)
Never forget the Dutch generous gift gave to MS St. Louis passengers and accepted them as refugees. No state in the world including the United States accepted them but the Dutch did. The Dutch and all the world except Israel consider the occupation of the Palestinian lands is illegal. Period.

Immanuel Kant ,   Kaliningrad   (01.09.14)
["What do you think the Poles would say if presented with the demand to restore East Prussia to Germany?"] Nothing, because East Prussia is now part of Russia, not Poland.
19. No Norelco shavers for me
Ron ,   oc us   (01.09.14)
I am boycotting anything Dutch.
20. The hypocrisy continues - Example Israel & Iram!!
Brett L ,   JHB RSA   (01.09.14)
Britain, Italy and others are already back in Iran looking to invest there. Yet they look to divest from Israel even when there is no agreement in the final solution as hitler would have been so happy to hear about!! Iran is a terrorist entity, yet the Europeans are happy to invest there. As i say, the hypocrisy is laughable!!
21. #13 How terribly disappointing!
A ,   Belgium   (01.09.14)
I was under the impression that you and your polakius countryman Spit had volunteered for target practice in Syria...as targets
22. to #16 Harold you know palestinian aconomy
lili   (01.09.14)
is completely dependant on the Israel market, it means that besides the "donations, give me factory" the palestinian got no other income. the palestinians owe Israel allot of money nowdays and if Israel will be with poor finnances than the extra resources would be stopped and would be provided only to Israelies, not to the palestinians. Than the palestinians truly will cry out how bad Israel is, in reality it is the other western countries who made that happened.

I think you'd better have another look at the map, dear. Try turning it right side up.
24. Have they divested of Saudi and Iran banks?
R ,   Israel   (01.09.14)
Wonder if these so moral Dutch bankers have divested of Saudi and Iranian banks, since women in Saudi Arabia and Iran are denied basic human rights. Or is this another case of applying double standards only to Israel?
25. Some proportion
(01.09.14)
Before getting angry remember: it is not personal, its business. What PGGM does says nothing good or bad about the Netherlands or the Dutch people. PGGM is a capitalistic organization that wants to make money. To make money they try to attract a certain kind of clientele that pretends to be socially and environmentally responsible. They have to say the code words "environment", "human rights" and "sustainability". One of PGGM principles is to boycott countries that are condemned by the UN, so they have no choice but to boycott Israel while investing in Saudi Arabia (80% population slaves), South Africa (police murder striking miners), Turkey (occupied Cyprus and Kurdistan) and Norway (whale hunting). PGGM even invests in a company that shuts down small farmers to build hugely-profitable megafarms (that destroy societies and the environment) under the banner of "efficient food production".
26. Typical... the dutch constructe a concentration camp in 1938
Dabiel ,   TA - IL   (01.09.14)
to house jewish refugees, so their nazi allies would have an easier job. the dutch are perfidies cowards hiding behind nazis, united nazis and muslims with their jewhatred. The volutarily started a non-jews in government law in 1940, even before their nazi allies had to ask. Thei greatest post wo ii prime ministers, the socialist den uyl and the jesuits van agt and lubbers, were respectively anzi symphatizer, a justice minister calling himself an aririan working for the premature release of war criminals and and all 3 were condoning and even encouraging dutch companies handing out non-jew declaration to get muslim oilcash - asomething still practiced to date given the ducth footvball coward. In short, the dutch act according to their vile jewhating principles
27. What is more important to Europe....
Jim Yakamoto ,   My Country   (01.09.14)
Investment in Israeli Banks or the Arab World "investing" BILLIONS in bankrupt Europe? Europe's antisemitism is a rampant today as it has been over the decades and centuries. Countries like Holland and Denmark, once protective of their Jewish citizens have been taken over by people from the notoriously Jew hating countries of Eastern Europe whose persecution of Jews was on the same level as that of the Nazis but for a very much longer period. Add to this the influx of Muslims in the EU and rise of left wing Antisemitism in Europe and other countries in the "Enlightened" World it is not surprising that there are boycott calls against Israel. Actually, what is surprising is that there aren't more. Once again the Jew is becoming the scapegoat of a very troubled world and, unfortunately, by the actions and statements of some of our politicians who think that they can live in an Israeli Bubble, we make matters worse.
28. Double Dutch
(01.09.14)
Thats why Dutch is the capital city of hookers in the world
29. #22
Harold ,   USA   (01.09.14)
The EU does not recognize what you are stating. They just want end of occupation and the creation of a Palestinian State. We just wait and see when the peace process fails.
