The US, European, Asian universities all require some form of college entrance exam, whether its called the PET, SAT - the purpose is to determine the potential success of the applicant. Grades, which can be manipulated by teachers are no substitute for testing. This will result in Israel's universities being flooded with student who are incapable or unprepared for college & either they will flunk out or the universities will have to dumb down their curriculum.

Well, Arab teachers will provide Arab students with all A's certificates. Jews are rich and can send their kids abroad to study. That's what they paid their taxes for, served in the military... Justice for all.

I started teaching in 1979. I stopped in 2003. Every year I watched the ministry of education make yet another decision, implement yet another plan to cheapen education and make it more superficial and meaningless. The latest is just another of the same moves.

Its bad enough Israelis have to wait until their in their late 20's to start their lives. High school should prep you for post secondary. Psychometric exams are just a money grab. Good riddance!

Only Oxford and Cambridge which not the only top UK universities.Entrance to Universities is mainly on final Advanced Level grades or A levels at age 18.These exams are taken in the final two years of high school .

as a requirement for entrance to university. It will allow for admission based on performance in the Bagrut. The exemption will only be from the Psychometric Entrance Test.

What are your final years of study at school for if not to determine your entrance results to university? It seems we manage just fine in the UK and Australia.
