1. Ditch the dutch.Their divestment will reduce their own asset

base. Ha ! Ha ! Ha ! Ha ! to you dutchies !
2. It will only get worse
Sarah B ,   Tel Aviv/London   (01.10.14)
The Dutch pension company is following EU law, and soon every company within the EU will have no choice but to divest. Calling the Dutch ambassador in is to create the false impression to the Israeli people that the Dutch actions are isolated, they are not. They are the first of many such actions. In Europe it is to shortly to become illegal to have business dealings with any companies who have business dealings in the occupied territories as defined as beyond the greenline of 1967 Yet again 550,000 settlers are holding the normal decent Israelis in Israel proper hostage so they can maintain their cosseted lifestyles.
3. Serious?
ex-dutch   (01.10.14)
The Dutch government has rather not Dutch companies invest inside the territories (ontmoedigings beleid) because of the settlements. However they give millions to the Palestinians without following where the money ends up and willfully stick their heads in the sand for the fact a large part of the money ends up in terrorism, in anti-Israel education (leaving Israel out of schoolbooks) and anti-semitic education (holocaust denial), funding Palestinians who murdered Israelis etc, They allow hate-imams free speech in the Netherlands, allow them freely to demonize Israel and the Jews. Should we still take the Dutch serious?
4. The clarification is: don't violate international law
Ben Alofs ,   Bangor, UK   (01.11.14)
The Dutch government is encouraging Dutch companies to observe international law in their dealings abroad. There is a solid consensus, not only in the Netherlands, but in the EU, as reflected in the 2004 Advisory Opinion of the International Court of Justice, that Israel's colonies built in the territories it occupied in 1967 - including East-Jerusalem - and the occupying power transferring its own citizens to occupied territory is a violation of article 49 of the 4th Geneva Convention. Dutch companies are encouraged not to have any dealings with institutions, like Israeli banks, that finance the colony building enterprise. That changes once these institutions stop being implicated in violations of international law. I hope that this is clear enough to Israel's government and the Israeli public at large. And before anyone blames the PGGM for singling out Israel, last year it disinvested from Walmart and a number of tobacco companies. I am a Dutch ex-pat living and working in the UK. I am very pleased about the decision of the PGGM, which holds part of my retirement pension. I understand that soon British pension funds will follow in the footsteps of the PGGM. I will be doubly pleased then, because the other half of my retirement pension, held by British pension funds, will also be playing its tiny role in signalling to the State of Israel that continued violation of international law does have consequences!
5. Orange-Nassau family: listen carefully
Bluegrass Picker ,   Afula   (01.11.14)
your Royal House has foundations of sand. And we are just the folks to locate its tipping point.
6. Israel is wrong to begin with
Jhan   (01.11.14)
They should never have allowed these countries' ambassadors in, as they don't accept Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. No other people has their boundaries so broken that they would allow such a flagrant insult.
7. Whose fault is it?
Hmm. ,   Chicago   (01.11.14)
"Netanyahu's actions are bringing upon us sanctions and boycotts." Incorrect. The sanctions and boycotts would come under any leadership. Israel is sanctioned . . . for existing.
8. The last laugh
BUILD BABY BUILD ,   United States   (01.11.14)
will be on those who try and limit Israel's growth. SAVING JEWISH FAMILIES ONE HOME AT A TIME !!
9. internation law
Ruben ,   USA   (01.28.14)
International law that doesn't provide for Jews living freely in their homeland has no ethical standing. This is aside from the fact that under international, since there is no settled boundary there is no basis for calling the land occupied, Of course the Europeans conveniently forget that all that territory has been illegally occupeid by non-Jews for centuries, including every church that was ever built there .
