Lapid is young and has plenty of good ideas. He will be elected to the Knesset again in the next eight elections, at the least. He will retire with glory and his great grandson will carry the lapid on. My crystal ball is never wrong.

Lapid is a political opportunist interested only in personal career and will reinvent himself as many times as it takes as long as its beneficial to his his career.
The left has a better chance of winning the election right now than they have had in decades with Bibi getting stale, getting rid of Shelly and Herzog being the new kid on the block and trying to form a leftist block to counter the government.
The majority of Lapid voters were left who expected big things for his promised new politics but they feel he has let them down.
Lapid wants to now leaning more toward the left by championing the peace process, talking that there will be money for social busing in the next budget promising to block funding for new settlements building.
He knows the left are his strongest supporters and he need to get them back because more anti religion policies are not going to win him any elections.
