The more I read about the Obama/Kerry peace process the more I'm convinced it will never happen. Abbas, as was the case with Arafat, knows the moment he signs an agreement he is a deadman. Right now Israel and it's security forces in the West Bank are the only thing standing between Abbas and those who want him removed. Abbas will string Obsma/Kerry along as long as possible all the time painting Israel as the obstacle to peace.

According to Yaalon he gave an off-the- record background briefing and Shimon Shiffer violated the rule of this, and created an embarassing situation for both Yaalon and Israel. Shiffer is probably right about the danger of Kerry's obsession. But he should have found another way of presenting what he thought without putting a knife in the back of his own country.

Mr Shiffer is 100% correct. Not facing facts openly leads people to think you will in the end give in on them. The PM should say that there will be no negotiations on Jerusalem ,no withdrawal in the Jordan Valley, no troops in Judea or Samaria other than the IDF....Proclaiming the truth WILL keep Israel free and secure.
