who's out to get women as rabbis.
2. Not aimed at having women ordained? Tell me another!
ahad haamoratsim ,   usa   (01.20.14)
Does anyone really believe it would stop at taking the exams? Not long after they started passing the exams would come the inevitable demand to ordain them.

luckshun kugel ,   london   (01.21.14)
once they show their superiority to the males, they will have it cinched. but they must be good looking too
6. They may study advanced gardening.
Ariel ,   Maale Adumim   (01.21.14)
Jewish religious women aren't required to study "advanced Halacha.", but to get married and raise a family.
7. Oh David the Mancunian
Rachel ,   Jerusalem   (01.21.14)
We are so above you, you little xy chromosome - we can have babies and also study Torah. And multitask. That's why G-d made us last - the crowning creation!
8. Equality
Harry ,   Haifa, Israel.   (01.21.14)
Whats the big deal, let the women take the exams and go even further. What are the men afraid of ? that the women are just as good as them ie they are really afraid of being exposed !!! If these old and fossilised attitudes dont change then the religion will be classified as irrevelent
9. Women demand
Voice of Reason ,   Here & Now   (01.21.14)
Wow what strong and insulting reactions from supposedly religious talkbackers. As is usual they have kneejerk reactions and start to insult and put down. Emphasis on the "JERK". Calm down 1 time and listen.
10. If they've passed 6th grade science
Sage of the Age ,   Israel   (01.21.14)
they've ALREADY surpassed the Haredim and Rabbinate! ignorance + casuistry = ignorant casuistry
11. What shocking comments
AY ,   USA   (01.21.14)
Haven't expected such exclusive misogyny on this site. Anyway. This is what you get when you have the religious folks an official part of the government. If rabbis want independence, they should dismantle the ministry of religion and stop receiving their salaries from the state. Then, no Supreme Court will be able to tell them to accept women.
12. Kol Hakavod!!!
Simon   (01.21.14)
13. Academic degrees
Joseph ,   London England   (01.21.14)
There would need to be academic degrees such as Bachelor or Master of Rabbinic Law, as was worked out generations back in Ner Yisrael Yeshivah in the USA. Semicha or ordination for a communal Rav canot be conferred on the basis of an examination alone.
14. A recent study proved that ...
robert ,   Antwerpen (2018)   (01.21.14)
in countries where women are treated equally, they have a level in math equal to that of men while where they have an inferior status, the level of math science and others goes down dramatically. I'm sure that if women were allowed to be Rabbis, poskim and so on, they would be a tremenduous asset to the faith of Israel. It is out of misplaced fear that orthodox Rabbis do not want women to fill important roles except having babies and cooking. Let's hope that God will enlighten orthodoxy
15. dear number 14,
woman   (01.22.14)
just wanted to remind u that Torah isnt maths.. why women always want what men have?? we women can have children and take care of our home.. why not let men to their duty? why we want everything for us? in a few years those so called feminists will want to be circumcised too? lol

17. 15 Right , dear nr 15, it is a matter of...
robert ,   Antwerpen (2018)   (01.22.14)
personnal choice. The thing is that were women allowed to choose wether to raise children or contribute as Rabbis and poskim while having children, they would be an even bigger asset for orthodox Judaism.
