Toledano Jean-Pierre ,   Israel   (01.20.14)
During years, they supported blindly their new immigrants and as result of it: the demonizing of Israel. Maybe they start to know and to understand the behaviour and the final goal of their immigrants. We'll see! Let us hope! But, always beware for a viper in the grass or under a stone!
3. Norway's anti semites must feel sooo bad.
(01.20.14)
Too bad! KEEP BUILDING !!!
4. I pity the BDSholes..--
Mira ,   Vienna   (01.20.14)
This is a black day for the thrash! It was clear to me that the onyl reason EU did nto go ahead with the plannes boycott was that Her in- and outside Ugliness has nto got a majority! People are coming to their senses! And considering the fact that UN proclaimed a year of solidarity with terrorists, thsi si a considerable victory! Israel is just too important in the ME and worldwide!

AVouskila ,   South America   (01.20.14)
Yah,, though the Norwegian changed the government, it will take quite a period of dimembering the ultra Anti-Israel infra structure built by long reigning leftist-inclined previous government. But, do not go wondering in a dreamland that the bureaucracy (which is as hard and as inflexible as the Israeli one) shall embrace seemingly the new policy. However, the Eneregy geopolitical impulse that allowed Norway, and to some degree the Arabo-Muslim world to benefit, now has undergone an evolutionary process which ultametly (with the help of the Canadian push to establish itself as a World Leader in Energy) will change the face of world sentiments towards an energetic (pan intended) Israel. Lets all play humbly, modestly (attitudes Israel has in scarcety). Go, Norway, go Danemark, wellcome Seeden!!
6. Boycotting Israel is probably
simon ,   haifa israel   (01.20.14)
the most exciting thing to happen in Norway since the Germans invaded.
7. Norway have to prove they are serious
Israeli   (01.20.14)
The terror supporting Norwegians has to first prove they changed their policies. 1. remove any boycott of Israel, including boycott of Israeli communities in Judea and Samaria and boycott of military exports. 2. Start acting pro-Israel in the EU and UN. 3. Put Hamas and Hezbollah in their terror lists. Only then they can come to Israel and ask to make energy deals. Norway needs Israel. Israel doesn't need Norway.

Darren Ben John ,   Townsville Australia   (01.20.14)
How many bottles of booze did you drink beforfe you wrote this trash (not thrash)? Our BDS movement just gets stronger every day, and as for Israel being vital for ME stability, Israel gets the US to fight in other countries for it. Israel only kills people and destroys lives within it's annexed and disputed territories and 67 borders. Meanwhile, Norway is getting sucked in big time!
9. Despite leftist actions both in the eu and IL
Daniel ,   TA - IL   (01.20.14)
is the average european getting sick and tired of the aggressive leftwing with their ngo stormtroopers and their even more aggressive muslim allies. The average european starts to understand the IL position of being bullied by
10. Are our spineless politicians waking up?
Magne L S ,   S   (01.20.14)
Are our spineless politicians waking up or is this some kind of joke? Either way, Norway has lost all credibility. It will have to change and prove its newly-discovered honesty. Until that happens, Norway is still regarded as one of the Allies of Islam in Europe. And guess what : as expected Norse Muslims regard their blonde hosts with despise. Great couple.
11. Darren @8, BDS in Australia? Getting stronger? You kidding?
leo ,   usa   (01.20.14)
12. Norway's BDS movement was never very effective
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (01.20.14)
Uniquely, Israel's exports aren't primarily of the consumer variety. Yes, it's got it's hand creams, soda machines, and agricultural produce. But Israel earns more than ten times for software exports what it earns for agro. At least half of Israel's exports are of the high tech variety, sold to businesses and industrial concerns and integrated into their products and services. It's the software and chips that go one's mobile phones, Macs and PCs, the irrigation systems sold to farmers, the purification systems sold to water authorities, the records systems and diagnostic tools sold to hospitals, etc. It's easy to boycott Ahava's hand creams, not so easy to boycott the Dead Sea Works' potash. So even as the BDSers in Norway and elsewhere in Europe have scored a few symbolic victories, trade between Israel and Norway has *grown* in recent years, mostly to Israel's favor.
13. Norway is not a member of EU

BDS is trash, there's not even a discussion about that. And it's not at all getting any stronger, at least in Europe it's on its way back, without any significant results. People still buy Israeli goods, use Israeli technology, medicin, etc... Go to Israeli shows. Even the number of artists 'canceling' their concerts in Israel under death threats of BDS is close to zero nowadays. But more important, Israel doesn't kill. If you wanna meet killers, go to your friends in Gaza, Lebanon or Syria. There you will find killers.
15. A sudden realization?
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (01.20.14)
Could it just possibly that this new Norwegian government has grasped that a Palestinian state ruled by crooks and begging for others' money can offer Norway ....precisely NOTHING. But Israel and Norway can offer each other so much. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!

18. Really ??
Mike ,   NZ   (01.20.14)
Improved relations with one of Europes worst antisemitic countries !! What bought this on ... dont tell me, discovery of gas by Israel by any chance ... I say thanks but no thanks ... go align yourselves with Syria, Iran or perhaps South Sudan whose company you prefer, and leave Israel alone while you revel in becoming the cesspool of Europe.
19. Boycott?
Svein Tormod Bekkhus ,   Ashdod, Israel   (01.20.14)
Why boycott when you can invest in the fastest growing economy in the world in Israel. Duet Production Limited in Norway and Israel is a good example in great business cooperation between these two countries. Right after opening their offices in Ashdod with record studio, the city Kristiansand in Norway is looking for cooperation with the city administration of Ashdod within oil and gas. For further information check out www.facebook.com/duetproduction or www.duetshow.com
20. Serious question for #17
David ASJ ,   Florida   (01.20.14)
This is off topic, but why is it that there are so many Arabs and other Muslims, who comment on articles in Israeli newspapers, but yet I can't find any Arabic newspapers that permit people from all over the world, or anyone, for that matter, comment on their articles? I have tried to find newspapers, especially Egypt, where readers can comment, but came up empty. I would appreciate a serious reply. And if you know of any, please let me know. This applies to anyone else, who reads this.
21. #19, I gather that you are Norwegian? Well done.

do not exist in the arab lexicon or mentality. However, even though their behaviour belongs in the 16th century, they enjoy using modern words such as "oppression", "racism", "apartheid", "terror", etc., but only when they are applied to Israel and never against themselves. Thanks for your interest.

Norwegians finally came to the correct conclusion that Israeli is not an "apartheid state committing genocide". Surprising what it takes sometimes to get facts through thick skulls.

I am born in Norway, and look forward to a bright future in Israel.
26. Good news indeed......
Rachel ,   USA   (01.21.14)
now will someone do something about the boycotts by the UCC (a major reason why I'm no longer Canadian!).
27. Solberg is the best PM Norway ever had
Monty   (01.21.14)
Solberg is the best PM Norway ever had. I am happy for the Norwegian people that they managed to get rid of the incompetent Red-Green Government. Let us hop that the Other Scandinavian states will follow her!
28. Norways attitide
Jo ,   Norway   (01.21.14)
Please don't say that the NORWEGIANS have finally seen the light and are now more positive towards Israel. There are big groups of Norwegians that understand, and supports Israel and have done so also before, even if we have had to struggle with a sosialistic government with a hostile attitide towards Israel. But the new government we finally got after 8 years of a Sosialistic government can now finally start to change the "Official Norway's" attitide towards Israel. And yes, it will take time to also change the attitude of the bureaucrats - we must be patient...
