2. Music and Music
Sherlock Holmes ,   London England   (01.23.14)
Traditional Iranian [or Jewish] music or great classical music can be lofty and spiritual, while some music may be offensive. Society needs a sense of jusgment regarding music.
3. Iranian music
Danny ,   London UK   (01.23.14)
Music can cross boundaries and bring people closer. In the days of the Shah I attended a concert of Iranian music in one of London's great concert halls. It felt like a Sephardi wedding. A concert by the Red Army band felt like a Litvish wedding, even down the male dancing!
4. Question
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.23.14)
Does that mean that Iranians may not study music? Classical piano? What about Iranian Jews, Bahai, Zoroastrians who have no religious issues with classical music? Are they prohibited from studying and enjoying music, too? Some "higher values" of the Islamic Republic's "holy" regime. The only thing "holy" about Iran's regime is that its governing doctrine is full of holes.
