1. Whose Sovereignty? Whose Borders?
emanon ,   USA   (01.24.14)
Never was such a country, so it could not have borders or sovereignty. You know the drill: Was their leader (before the Egyptian, Yasser Araft, began using that word)? What was their economy based on (terrorism does not count)? What country signed a treat with them?
2. Need in estate for two people
Mohamed ,   Ejerusalem palestine   (01.24.14)
If this is true we should refuse this meaningless entity and request to have one democratic state living in peace as Jews Christian and Muslim respecting each other aspirations.
3. Re: 1
Harmen Breedeveld ,   Leiden, Netherlands   (01.24.14)
Dear Emanon, then your own country, the USA, should also not exist. In 1776, the British could have said: "Never was such a country, so it could not have borders or sovereignty. You know the drill: who was their leader (before the subjects of the English Crown, George Washington, Benjamin Franklin and others, began using that word)? What was their economy based on (tea party terrorism and local agriculture and industry do not count)? What country signed a treaty with them? In short: new countries can and do arise all the time.
4. Bravo ...
Abdel Karim Salim ,   Jerusalem~   (01.24.14)
Long live the futile and time-wasting negotiations between Israel and the PA... Personally I no longer have any faith in either of them... My patience and hope have been exhausted completely . These days I feel cynical and hopeless . Consequently , I decry the very existence of an impotent and corrupt Palestinian Authority ( headed by the old mummy Mahmoud Abbas) which gets rich off our backs ,and equally I resent the Israeli practices against Arabs of Jerusalem... Definitely I do not belong here , and next time there's another conflict I will not take side with either against the other... I simply do not belong here...
5. A new lie from the invented people
Italian for Israel ,   Italy   (01.24.14)
Honestly, I fail to believe in such generous proposal by Kerry. Who this foolish believes to fool? It is a clear attempt to seed falsities, in lihe with their intention of starting a diplomatic war against Israel. Fantasies pefectly suited to the invented people.
6. No surprise
(01.24.14)
As Arafat and rational Israelis always said, the minimal justified Arab demands are far more than the minimal justified Israeli needs. Even with goodwill and without history, religion and emotion, the "two-state solution" would simply perpetuate the conflict until the end of the Jews. The only people who supported the two-state solution were the corrupt and the fantasists.
7. The Tri Angle
Ron ,   oc us   (01.24.14)
If the so called refugees go to that area and it is ceeded by Israel, that should be acceptable. Otherwise JK has something Israel can work with.
8. Unless the PA doesn't make acceptable proposals
Yael Schlichting ,   Munich - Germany   (01.24.14)
this are the proposals. The PA must learn, that they need to compromise and make acceptable moves. They must become pro-active! Sitting there and insisting on unacceptable demands means, they don't really want a solution. They must learn, that they want something, somebody else has. If they cannot get it by force, they need to make peaceful moves to get at least a part of what they want.
9. Yes, set up a cost to their side for each war
Logic ,   Israel   (01.24.14)
Personally I believe that the PA should not receive an offer as generous as in 2000. There should be a cost on their side to each refusal and a feeling of pressure to make peace rather than the status quo, where they feel that either the exact offer will always be there or that they will achieve total victory in the future.
10. #2
JL   (01.24.14)
nice..what would the country be called?..would it have an army?..who would be in command?..who would control the borders?
11. obama wants to leave the middle east
Eric ,   US   (01.24.14)
Obama goes as the wind blows unless his true aspirations are called upon. It's so easy to follow the majority when it comes to Israel. The only thing that blocks Obama's true agenda is bipartisan support for israel in congress. He will do his best to muzzle jewish democrats, they should be warned. Obama only cares about decapitalizing america and leaving the middle east, Israel is a problem for him... Obamacare. I think has great intentions but its deployment and strategy was and is an utter failure...
12. My solution
Toby the goy   (01.24.14)
The best solution as I see it is to relocate Pali Arabs to the other 99.987% of Arab controlled land in the Middle East - the land that 22 Arab nations sit on. Some Pali Arabs can be relocated overseas where huge Arab populations exist —Brazil, Detroit, etc The teeny tiny little bit of land Israel controls should be left for the Jews. That would be the most equitable land solution. Nothing would change for those Arabs holding Israeli citizenship and living in Israel. End of story.
13. #3 Yes, new countries arise all the time...
Jacob E ,   Holon, Israel   (01.24.14)
The keyword is "new" And yes, the USA should exist. It had borders that were obtained through conflict. Israel is one of the few countries that started with borders that didn't arise through conflict... wait before you respond. It was the Palestinians and Arab countries that then started the conflict after one of the first countries established without a conflict in what is now called the war for independence of Israel. And they lost. But they didn't accept it, so they fought and lost again and again and again and again. They don't get to fall back on previous negotiations they turned into conflicts.. and lost. They don't get to fall back on previous offers that they rejected and turned into conflicts... and lost... They don't get to fall back on borders that were never theirs to begin with and started conflicts... and lost. See what I'm getting at? They lost. They don't get to make the rules.
14. # 3 Harmen One note
Bad Assed Jew ,   United States   (01.24.14)
you neglected to mention that both America and Israel won wars over their enemies assuring the founding of their own respective democratic nations. In Israel's case, it is the only nation ever to rise from the ashes and again be as a nation and inhabited by her own original tribes, the 12 Tribes of Israel. If it weren't foretold, it might not be so interesting, if it hadn't happened, it would be a fable. As it has happened please include the facts before you lecture others. Israel wont allow a false pal nation within her borders 'no new country in Israel.' Speaking of 'new countries rising all the time,' How're your Muslims doing?BUILDING ALL OF ISRAEL BABY FOR ALL HER JEWS!!!
15. Could King Bibi the Weak be taking a cue from
A ,   Belgium   (01.24.14)
the late, great Itzhak Shamir, whom the Americans called Mr.No, as "no" was his stock answer to other ridiculous American demands? There may be hope yet!
16. The bennet Plan is only chance for peace
Dr Eric ,   Tel aviv   (01.24.14)
The entire WB is Israeli territory legally and morally. if Israel relinquishes the WB there will be a blood bath! Hamas will take over and eliminate all moderate Palestinians!!
17. The Palestinians/Arabs lost all the wars
mb   (01.24.14)
Yet they act and make demands as if they won. Somebody explain the rules of war to them again.
18. Security Arrangements
karmel usa   (01.24.14)
Much of the world has been cleverly deluded into thinking that Israel's security measures (checkpoints, security wall, Gaza restrictions, Jordan Valley military presence, etc.) are born out of evil Israel's desire to control Arabs and expand Israeli territory. The hard truth is that these measures evolved over the decades out of Israel's desire to simply survive and protect its citizens. The Arabs are reaping what they have sown from years of ongoing hostility and non-acceptance of a Jewish entity. I truly feel for those rank-and-file Arabs who want to live in peace with Israel, but have been betrayed by their leadership.
19. #2 What you have now is the closest to "peace" you'll know
lydia ,   Brisbane   (01.24.14)
Forget all that "one state" stuff....it's not in the cards.
20. Will Pals accept Jewish majority Israel on any territory?
Sam ,   Canada   (01.24.14)
Kerry can't get Palestinians to accept a "Jewish state". Can he get them to accept a Jewish majority Israel? Seems like the US and EU are wasting a lot of time and money and criticism of Israel if they can't get Palestinians to accept the most fundamental aspect of peace. Why are the US and EU so anxious for talks if there is no chance of them succeeding because Palestinians reject living next to a Jewish majority Israel to begin with.
21. # 4 Abdel Karim Jerusalem BRAVO TO YOU!
Bad Assed Jew ,   United States   (01.24.14)
Thank you for saying it, "Definitely I do not belong here." "I simply do not belong here." But, isn't it nice knowing one Muslim like you, living in Jerusalem, isn't threatened or killed as the pals/muslims/arabs do with the Jews, Christians, and other Muslims?? Maybe that's why all the pals, muslims, African's etc. want to live in Israel? If so, you really should thank your Jewish hosts, they are most gracious. Don't you wish you could say the same fro the pals/muslims/arabs ?KEEP BUILDING !!!!
22. # 5 Caio bella!
Bad Assed Jew ,   United States   (01.24.14)
Kerry/obama will make like an arabian tale and disappear into the night with their 1,001 tales. ( between their legs) Relax, the talks are, as they say, cheap. Or, 'Cash talks and BS walks.' BUILDING G-DS COUNTRY.!!!
23. Arabs themselves defined borders
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (01.24.14)
My attacking us in every war since 1948, despite the Rhodes Accords 1949
24. Will Pals accept Jewish majority Israel on any territory?

25. Two state solution will never work
Galut ia ,   Selah   (01.24.14)
it just a simple fact that no one wants to recognize ... in their hearts the Palestinians want All of Palestine and Israel don't want to be pushed into the sea ....its written in concrete on both sides and in the book of books
26. number 2
A V ,   london - UK   (01.24.14)
you mean like all arabs states
27. #2 That's a nice fantasy
A ,   Belgium   (01.24.14)
First of all, the only place that arabs can even experience democracy is in Israel. Every arab country is either a monarchy, a dictatorship, a corruption of democracy or anarchy. Second, except for brief periods during the Golden Age of Spain, Islam has never accepted Judaism or Christianity as equal beliefs or "respecting each other aspirations, so why should it happen now? And as islam continues to become more and more extreme, the chances of your fantasy becoming reality become more and more remote. Nice thought, though.
28. Neither side want peace
David ,   On this planet   (01.24.14)
The Palestinian leaders like all the Arab leaders want it to keep going , get extremely rich and keep that fire going. On the Israeli side just about the same The rich want a fake peace so they can keep growing richer, and the poor or average joe in Israel can work hard and be ready to be called in when they decide to have a war game.neither one want peace or war. The proof is Gaza AND Lebanon. Israelis go in destroy some but leave enough for them to keep going.Any one things differently???
29. @3: There's a Major Difference
emanon ,   USA   (01.24.14)
The Europeans who moved here did not claim their land was stolen by the English. (Yes, most of the Europeans were the thieves, I'll gran that). They *SAID* they were breaking away from their non-resident government. The terrorstinians, however, keep trying to assert this false claim of an a country *BEFORE* Israel. Never happened, did it? And, oh yes, the colonies did have treaties, a previous ruler and, most importantly, a thriving economy with trade partners, albeit a one-sided trade arrangement.
