1. Fly this trial kite over auschwitz
David ,   Shiloh Israel   (01.29.14)
The Israeli government encouraged Jews to live in Gush Katif and then evicted them from their homes and left many families in ruins, still awaiting compensation. Now, some politicians are expecting thousands more to be suckered into poverty and ruin on empty promises? I thought the left meant socialist idealism and being against aparthied, it seems the reverse is true when it comes to dealing with innocent Jews. So now, knowing full well that there is zero budget to support a new mass eviction campaign - the obvious answer is to find another solution...the final one? Many Jewish settlers can co-exist with local Arabs, but don't expect us to be delivered sign and sealed into the hands of those who still worship acts of terrorism against us! Its time to call a spade a spade. The status quo equals peace so does the 'peace process' without an end game. But when the final solution comes into equation there is only the question of how to make 'never again' mean 'never again' -
2. Bibi, you better listen to Benett !
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (01.29.14)
3. re: #1 Take some "PERSONAL" responsibility......
Cali Lib ,   Los Angeles, USA   (01.29.14)
You moved into a settlement knowing full well that the world found it illegitimate and that there was a possibility that you would have to move someday if a peace deal was struck. Trust me your government had a plan all along and that is to pass along the cost of moving the settlers with US money.
4. It Could Work.
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (01.29.14)
It's not ideal, but it could work.
5. #4
Yossi ,   Netanya, Israel   (01.29.14)
Its pretty close to ideal, no more disgusting price tags and the end of their trouble making.Palestine is welcome to them.
6. I think its a great idea
Ivan ,   Haifa   (01.29.14)
it would solve the matter of settlement, allowing settlers to stay there without occupying, and the best: we, israelis, can get ride of religious, poorly educated and extremist population.
7. 4,5&6 - None of you talk like true Jews
David ,   Shiloh Israel   (01.29.14)
#4 Rueven, maybe you'd like to do a trial run for your brothers and live in Gaza? That would save our tax money some, now wouldn't it? #5 So all Jews in Israel go around making trouble spraying grafitti and going against the law? You talk rubbish and you probably know it, as you probably listen to yourself more than others would. #6 Why don't you move in with Yossi. You'll probably better defend Israel between the two of you as you look east towards your loving new neighbors thanking you for making the job of getting rid of you much easier. Also the two of you could raise your collective IQ's a little higher than petty your pea brains can tolerate.
8. #3 We are taking personal responsibilitty
David ,   Shiloh Israel   (01.29.14)
First, you are talking about things that really don't concern you. Who exactly is 'the world' that I should tremble before? Maybe the same world that stood idly by while the "SS St. Loius" was refused permission to unload its pathetic cargo of Jewish refugees, and opted to send them to the horrors of the concentration camps. Oh, don't think that didn't include such civillized countries as your United States, amongst many others? Thankfully, there are many people in the world , including decent Americans, with differing views. But, right now the increase in Anti-Semitism holds sway once more, and certainly a will to undermine & weaken the one Jewish country that does exist for our people. Your views, discolored by what you misguidely think is truth really does not interest me. We are taking more than personal responsibility and it is not your governments' money, which is being used to keep our brother Pollard locked up, that sustains us, but something much higher that sustains our convictions that 'the world' doesn't necessarily mean something righteous. So you keep your hard earned money, and we'll keep our even harder earned land!
9. Jews can live in Palestine.
AL QUDS ALYAHUDI ,   Jerusalem Jewish   (01.29.14)
Now Jews can live in Palestine with the Arabs. What sort of Guarantees that Jews will live in peace, without hatred, killing, harasment, and equal right, and freedom. free to practice Jewish religion, kosher, synagogues. Who will give the guarantee. And if the Arabs will start killing Jews, burning synagogues, making the life of local Jews impossible, who will be responsible for this mistake
10. I have a better idea
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.29.14)
Annex the settlement blocs but, taking Umm Ashrawi's words to heart, send them Israel's "Palestinians," especially the ones who sign their posts as coming from "Haifa, Palestine" and "Jaffa, Palestine." Wanna go to "Palestine?" Sure, no problem.
11. #4 If the settlers were smart
Shmuel ,   Israel   (01.29.14)
they would rise up and create their own state with their own government before the PA has a chance to take it over. They already have their own army, why not? Netanayhu is not joke. With a right-wing government everything is possible as we have seen with previous right-wing leaders, Sharon, Begin, etc. who gave Jewish land away.
12. Yes let all arobs in Israel emigrate to palyshtein
Moshe ,   Usa   (01.29.14)
13. To 5, 7, 11 et al
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (01.29.14)
I said it wasn't ideal. Whether it could work or not is another "speculative" question. Listen, if the Arabs allowed Jews to live, develop, buy land, build cities, cultivate fields, etc. then what is the problem? Will they do that? Actually, maybe. Can we trust them? Will they protect the Jews and allow them rights as any other citizen? Maybe. Is it likely that it would work? Less than maybe, but other than the ideal of One State under Jewish jurisdiction, then why not if it will bring some sort of conclusion to our long bitter and antagonistic history with the Arabs? When the Moshiach comes, we will get all the land back anyway, so you have nothing to worry about.
14. #3 "Lib", We heard "the world" in 1938 at Evian
Jake   (01.29.14)
A death sentence to the Jews of Europe. With that, "the world" has lost the right to determine the fate of the Jews, least of all in their homeland.
15. #13 Reuven - Try to think deeper
David ,   Shiloh Israel   (01.29.14)
Shalom Reuven, you voice an opinion which is fine, but have you seriously considered through all the consequences clearly? Maybe one starting point might be too reverse the situation by imagining that some members of the PA had Ranana in its site? Absolutely impossible, never heard one Arab voice claim an interest in any other part of our land....sure! Think on, so we in the hill country, the simple folk into Jewish voodoo or whatever some imaginative people like to describe us (actually you wouln't recognize me as a demonic Jewish settler if we ever met) decided to abandon you my friend to live under PA rule. Honestly, how would you feel? Surprise, most Jews living in the hills are very normal law abiding citizens, and also would confess to having had a decent rapport with local Arabs. But to really entrust ourselves into the hands of those who openly declare that 'not one Jew will remain' could you personally trust those prone to such an outburst? Even more so, do you honestly beleive that they would also be satisfied with just one slice of territory, like what happened during the parrtition of 1947/8? Finally, there are many Jewish settlers and local Arabs who actually prefer the status quo...it is probably more reassuring and bound in a better form of peace than trying to get a final solution in place.
