1. Bennet should leave the coalition already.
Harry ,   Haifa, Israel.   (01.29.14)
and the sooner the better for the good of all.
2. Bennett is right - fakestinian state should never become
Arthur ,   SF, CA   (01.29.14)
a reality
3. Let's see how Lapid will stick up for "his brother"
Sam ,   PT   (01.29.14)
Bennett who stuck up for him all the time like an idiot. Hopefully both of their falls will continue speedily until it deteriorates completely for the benefit of Israel.
4. Bennett is irresponsible
Avi   (01.29.14)
He fell into Bibi's spin that was meant for Abbas. They don't want Jews in a future Palestinian state and he wanted to show they're not interesting in peace. Instead Bennett fell for it and instead of being portrayed as an idiot he decided to climb the tree even higher in an awkward way to save face. However Bibi should have told him and that may have been a political trap. What's cynical though is that no one is discussing peace, just trying to prove the other isn't interested in it in some weird game.
5. Apologize for what?
Jew1 ,   Ashdod   (01.29.14)
He said the truth. It is Natanyahu who has lost his faith. Public is not blind and we know the facts. It is the truth that the Jews will be killed in Palestine. I hope, Natanyahu is not planning to kick Bennet out and give Haredi parties in. I hope not, because if it happen, I will doubt that natanyahu wishes will for this country.
6. Bennet got a lot of votes with this statement
Elyahu ,   London   (01.29.14)
7. Bennet
Joshua ,   Israel   (01.29.14)
I voted for Bibi because I never heard of Yair or Bennett, before this last election. Now that I know more about Bennett the more I like him. It is madness to believe that the hatred of jews will suddenly end once we give Palestinians land. Gaza is the proof. Next time I vote, its for Bennett.
8. Bennett got my vote
Tel Aviv   (01.29.14)
9. Bibi vs Bennett
Volvi   (01.29.14)
Im a Likudnik and I trust Bennett over Bibi who I long have no trust for the man. Bibi plays games with our lives and future, I just dont and cant trust him. I wish I could.
10. Whole issue idiotic Ego Issue
Zechariah   (01.29.14)
It's a popularity contest for the Hard liners of Likud who now represent the mainstream .Except that people still believe in Talkig about the Powers of the Palestinians from the Sea to the River..Both the USA and Russia and the EU fear Islamic Jihad and will war against them if they attack enmasse.
11. netanyahou is much more lenient with the Leftist Livni
Frederic   (01.29.14)
Livni can talk like Abbas and Netanyahou didn' t open his mouth !
12. Netanyahou = Sharon = dictator
(01.29.14)
13. Bibi should embrace Bennet for
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (01.29.14)
daring to say loud [ risking his career] instead of Bibi who refrains from doing so , because of politically incorrectness.
14. #4 I support Bennett but you're right!
David ,   Shiloh Israel   (01.29.14)
15. TO THE PM.
FO ,   Belgium   (01.29.14)
Your proposal, as a test to the PA, for Jews to live in an eventual future Palestinian state, is indeed totally absurd! Your irascible fly at Bennett's throat, knowing, you too I suppose, that what he said is unfortunately 100% correct, is absurd too! Keep this kind of white rage against those who accuse Israel of violating (none-existing) International Laws!
16. let Netanyahu choose
(01.29.14)
Enough of these games. Netanyahu should stop threatening and make a decision. Netanyahu can shut-up and follow the Likud platform, or he can fire Bennet, form a coalition with Herzog and rid the world of Israel.
17. ALL Zionists SUPPORT Bennet !
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (01.29.14)
HE IS THE RIGHT MAN AT THE RIGHT TIME !
18. Sitting in the Opposition
yossi ,   israel   (01.29.14)
The Religious Zionist party, Habayit Hayehudi or Mafdal has been most effective when it was a member of the ruling coalition. It is puerile for a member of the coalition to engage the PM in a dispute unless one finds the Arab parties and Meretz better companions.
19. If Bibi rocks the boat Herzog will soon be PM
zionist forever   (01.29.14)
Just 1 year since the election and deep cracks beginning to emerge in the coalition. If Bibi looses either Bennet or Lapid at this stage it will probably bring down the government and we will have a 1 billion shekel election which will probably be won by Herzog with Meretz holding many senior cabinet postings. Bibi needs to start banging heads with everybody in the coalition remind them if they don't get their act together then they will all very soon be out the government and have no say on any issue. He also needs to clean house in Likud, we have the likes of Miri Regev & Gideon Saar clashing with Bibi so if the party is not united then Labor will benefit. Everybody in the coalition need to get their acts together otherwise it probably wont even last another 6 months.
20. Laurel and Hardy?
Sherlock Holmes ,   London England   (01.29.14)
Bennett dragged Lapid into the coalition in place of Shas and UTJ. Lapid doesn't understand that you can't throw out the Chief Rabbinate for upholding the Halacha. Bennett doesn't understand you can't openly attack the Prime Minister and remain in his coalition. They are turning the Israeli constitution into a Laurel and Hardy, 'another nice mess you've got me into!'
21. Bennett for PM (end)
DT ,   TA Israel   (01.29.14)
22. Curious that Netanyahu didn't rebuke Lapid or Peres
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (01.29.14)
So Bennett was "insolent" for challenging Netanyahu (on a position he failed to coordinate with Bennett). But what about Lapid and Peres? Both are undermining Netanyahu' insistence that the Palestinians accept Israel as a Jewish state. Lapid challenged that demand in an interview on the Charlie Rose show in the US, while Peres did likewise at Davos. Why is Bennett's offense worse than theirs even as the weaken Netanyahu's bargaining position? Peres may be deemed off limits to criticism, but why does Lapid get a pass?
23. I think Prime Minister Netanyahu ....
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.29.14)
.... needs to dial it back. If the Coalition falls, Bennett may well succeed him.
24. It is Bibi who should go right now
Sid ,   London   (01.29.14)
Bibi is a failed Prime minister hanging on by the seat of his pants. Recent disclosures show he is not fit to be the Prime Minister, from both a moral and ethical prospective. Any honorable person would have tended their resignation by now. Is Bii jealous of the self made man Bennett. All cudos to Bennett for his honesty
25. For once, I support Bibi.
Michael ,   California, USA   (01.29.14)
Is Bennett's crystal ball so good? What can he see that others don't? Jews thrived under Islam in the old days as is well known, so they can come to it again. Bennett's vision is obscured and he needs a cataract surgery to correct it. Why should not religious Jews like Bennett thrive under the Palestinian rule, becoming prosperous in their new economy? Eventually there will be no need for a border between Israel and Palestine under peace conditions and West Bank Jews will be easily reconnected with their brothers across a line on the map. I support Bibi's demand for Bennett to stop acting and speaking out irresponsibly to Israelis. Outside of Israel Bennett has no voice and zero visibility.
26. OBVIOUSLY Bibi cares ONLY ABOUT keeping his JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are sick of your ,   BS.... Bibi   (01.29.14)
Even at the expense of a destroyed Israel and hundreds of thousands of Jews killed. Frankly BIBI, YOU ARE THE ONE WE CAN DO WITHOUT.
27. Bennett LOVES G-d, Jews and Israel !!!
Linda Rivera ,   Florida, USA   (01.29.14)
Israel needs another King David! A leader who will protect and defend Israel like a lion! A leader who will never surrender one inch of Free World Jewish land to the enemies of all innocent humanity! Surrender is not an option! NO SURRENDER, EVER!
28. No 23 lol dream on!
(01.29.14)
Bennett will never succeed Bibi
29. #25, moron, what Peace, Israel embassy set on fire in Cairo
(01.29.14)
30. Bibi's reaction to Bennett
Iris ,   Ny USA   (01.29.14)
It is obvious that what Bennett did to Bibi was not at all nice...he actually exposed and ridiculed the seriousness of his suggestion. I feel that Bibi can actually Bennefit from Bennett. He can show the Arabs, that they are not to be trusted to be treating the settlers in a humane fashion. This shuts the door on his illogical offer to the Arabs...and now he can blame it on a "right wing" member of his coalition
