1. Wake up people! Wake up Jews!
Israel   (02.01.14)
The government is throwing you to the dogs. Ntanayahu obviously doesn't have the power to rule over the West Bank as well and is ready to give it over to the dogs. Lapid accepted Netanyahu's plan of relinquishing the West Bank to the Arabs and will do everything and anything in his power for it to go through. Wake up Jews in the West Bank. With almost 1/2 million people you can have your own government. You already have an army, all you need is election for your own Prime Minister.
2. to #1 - I like your attitude. GREAT IDEA.........!!!!!!!!!!!
shimon ,   israel   (02.01.14)
3. Funds
nachman ,   Yesha   (02.01.14)
meanwhile the Treasury continues to send funds to the PA which uses them to pay freed terrorists, incite against Israel and promote the boycott of Israeli businesses but of course Lapid is a coward and plays to the Kerry Circus.
4. Lapid is joining the boycott
CJK   (02.01.14)
the idiot lapid has already started the boycott.
5. LAPID = THE NEW PLOT AGAINST JEWS
(02.01.14)
6. Rule of law
(02.01.14)
The Left always bleats about rule of law, knowing there is no such thing. A corrupt Finance Minister simply decides to steal money from tax paying citizens because an unsubstantiated report by a journalist. No due process and collective punishment. History will remember Lapid, and not in a good way.
7. Yair Lapid
Anne Leslie ,   Aberdeen, UK   (02.01.14)
As for watching Yair Lapid for the last year I'm not impressed with him at all. The only thing that comes across that he has done is that like his colleague Tzipi Livni that he is a palestinian sympathiser. I think like her he should go and work for the PA instead but of course it already looks like it doesn't i!!!
8. Corruption New Jersey style
Avramele   (02.02.14)
I guess the similarities between Israel and New Jersey is more than just a similarity in square miles. Guess Bibi and Christie might have consulted in depth on political tactics during the Governors visit to Israel last year.
9. Lapid is making a monumental mistake
Dror ,   Haifa, Israel   (02.02.14)
In the meantime use those funds to expel the Sudani and Eritrean infiltrators from our midst. Do something right for a change. Lapid you are not a fat man, you are in seemingly good health. If a heart attack should find you or a brain hemorrhage know that it comes straight from the TOP.
10. To #1 and #2 ezeh chachamim!
Elisha   (02.02.14)
Great idea but let Israel and the IDF withdraw to points west of the security fence and you and the remaining 50,000 settlers can fend for yourself. I am sure the hilltop youth and the crazies of tekumah will make great military commanders in your new Massada with their rabbis, rocks and spray paint.
11. the beginning of the end
Larry ,   LA (formerly)   (02.02.14)
Looks like Lapid and Bennett will soon come to butt heads together and end the short but passionate romance. Once they split, it will only be a short time till the ultra-Orthodox charadim will come in and steal the gelt. So, Mr. Lapid, what will all of this accomplish??
12. not since Jim Jones
yirmiyahu   (02.02.14)
....have we seen such an imbecilic group of suicidal maniacs as represented by settlers, right wing talkbackers and the wingnuts of Likud and yisrael beitenu. Over a century of zionist effort is being undermined by your nessianic obsessions. Yes, I will cry real tears at your funerals but in the name of the almighty let us not get to that point.
13. generational continuity, a shaky, snaky tradition
eric adom ,   Yeumana   (02.02.14)
yair "ricky martin" lapid enjoys the passions of his father tommy who exalted dead Jews in the diaspora and denigrated Jews living or dead in the land of their own name and especially those who live as their forefathers who chose individually their right to live i n the land of their own name.
14. Lapid is right it's time to annex
David ,   Shiloh ISRAEL   (02.02.14)
Jews living in the Yesha regions should not have to suffer misappropriation of funds for our security and children's welfare. There should be a sharp division between political and welfare divisions of local government, as it the norm elsewhere. It is high time that settlers become intergrated into the mainstream Isreali system, and that has to be done through annexation. We need to legalize our existence here, which means having law and order, and full accountability. Most settlers are foremost normal Jews, entitled to the benefits of shared Israeli citizenship.
15. #10 Elisha
Yosele ,   Israel   (02.02.14)
Almost 50% of the IDF are from the West Bank who will keep these soldiers for themself. By the way, these "settler" soldiers are known for Israel's best soldiers. How will Israel manage without them? Once the English left Israel, the Zionist took over and created their own government. Once Netanyahu will leave the West Bank, the "settlers" will create their own government. Do you think they're so dumb and would foolishly hand over Jewish land to the Arabs on a golden platter in order to please Kerry and Obama and Netanyahu?
16. I, for one, applaud this move!
A Jerusalemite ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (02.02.14)
Pity all of the commentors are extreme rightists.
17. #16 Ignore the howls: you're in the majority.
