1. Why Threats from Kerry?
paulD ,   Jerusalem   (02.02.14)
Kerry/Obama peace plan solves nothing, is nothing new, and is based on the true deranged mind-set now afflicting the Western world, that is, Israel is not the problem, Jewish sovereignty in the Holy Land is. The peace plan is one of many other attempts to roll-back the guilt the world felt after WWII. Instead of telling Arabs their aggression and hatred got them exactly what they deserved, they rather fall back on their immoral, perverse racial obsessions against the Jewish State.
2. Israel is the fastest growing OECD member
boycot? LOL   (02.02.14)
Before anyone thinks about boycotting Israel, first get rid of your computer and smartphone, because they are full with Israeli technologies.
3. Another Holocaust starting with economical persecution
Ted   (02.02.14)
led by Europe once again and the America is blind by self exaltation.
4. promises promises---to a certainty!
michael weizmann ,   safed, israel   (02.02.14)
"Today's status quo absolutely, to a certainty, I promise you 100 percent, cannot be maintained. It's not sustainable." Such language. So comforting. So threatening. And hilarious, especially coming from such a failed "negotiator". Who does this JK think he is? Some post-Malachai prophet? Give us a man to deal with, please Mr Obama.
5. BOYCOTT
John ,   Herzlia   (02.02.14)
80 years ago the Jews were taken to concentration camps and murdered and the West did nothing, while the USA sent the boats with Jewish refugees back to Europe where these Jews were murdered. Now the West with the USA are threatening with a boycott. Good we have the land of Israel. The bigger the better. All Jews are welcome protected and and safe in Israel.
6. Israel Now Echoing Iran & Palestinians
Jersey Jew ,   New Jersey, USA   (02.02.14)
Sanctions are "not moral or justified". "offensive, unfair and intolerable" & "gun to our heads". Same weak arguments from Iran & Palestinians. Israel's "smart struggle" solution of more Hasbara & deploy pro-Israeli groups worldwide is old & discredited. It actually worsens our situation ... not Judaism or smart!
7. Kerry
Cauvery ,   Antwerp, Belgium   (02.02.14)
Is Kerry promoting Israel boycott ?
8. No.6 - And your solution is?
Ram ,   London   (02.02.14)
Should Israel just succumb to US pressure and accept certain death? Or maybe fight its way our of its corner? Think clearly and remember what happened to the Jews in the 30's and 40's. Then they did NOT have Israel!!
9. Boycott Israel
Jeff ,   USA   (02.02.14)
Once the US back a boycott and real sanctions against Israel her leaders will finally capitulate to the international community and then there will be a real chance for peace. Lets hit Israel with hard sanctions until she changes her hard positions - and then there will be peace.
10. Drum up U.S. opposition to Obama regime thuggery.
Chaim ,   Israel   (02.02.14)
Countless polls show Americans are strongly positive towards Israel. Now is a good time to send Israeli patriots on good will missions to America to drum up opposition to thuggish Obama regime threats against Israel.
11. Israeli boycott
Henry ,   Manila   (02.02.14)
To threaten Israel with European or US or world economic boycott for that matter is absolutely daft. It will encourage everyone else in the middle east towards war with Israel and this time around SAMSON might be called into action against the Palestinians and the Arabs. But even without SAMSON, a conventional all-out war is going to raise the price of oil to $300 a barrel and the US and Europe will be down to its knees. Chaos and anarchy will reign in the world. In its wake WW3 will follow. It is therefore NOT in the interest of the stupid and stale European leaders to push Israel into a corner.
12. Kerry is an idiot. Period.
Gray Eagle   (02.02.14)
13. So what happens after Bibi drives Kerry away?
spyguy ,   seattle usa   (02.02.14)
The REALITY is Kerry was not threatening boycotts, but merely pointing out that boycotts are a very real probability if there is no solution. If Bibi succeeds in causing the US to walk away in disgust, exactly what do Israelis think will happen? Israelis need to understand that Israel does NOT produce any goods or services that are unique. Everything Israel provides can also be provided by many other parts of the globe. There are plenty of competitors that will be happy to take customers away form Israel. The Israeli economy is extremely vulnerable, so be real, real careful what you wish for.
14. IDIOT #9
Ben S ,   Free World   (02.02.14)
You suggest the U.S. boycott our closest ally who happens to be the only real democracy in the middle east. I suggest you're an idiot.
15. Keep the gun to the head Kerry
Sam ,   Kfar Saba   (02.02.14)
It is israel's only chance!
16. "Tzipi Livni came to Kerry's defense, saying
Neil B. ,   Maale Adumim   (02.02.14)
he was merely expressing concern for Israel". How obnoxious, pandering, and quisling can one be? The woman is an utter embarrassment!
17. Delusionary Kerry is "Illusionary"
ASTRONAUT ,   SC, USA   (02.02.14)
As are you, Jeff USA. If you hate Israel so much, why even waste your precious time lingering on this Israel news site? haven't you better things to do: like slop the hogs?
18. Birds of Feather...
AVouskila ,   South America   (02.02.14)
From the two people Obama choose to appoint as heads of some of the most sensitive posts of his administration, points to his overall tone and strategy in the world arenaes. Now, both of the men Hagel and Kerry are very acomplished politicians, as such they know who the boss is. Such is the case that the Kerry pronouncement about boycott, should Israel not follow american "dictate", Obama will not prevent Europe (khmmmm!) from expanding its threatening (my God, Europe the poor cousins), has raised many red flags for the Democrats in light of the disaster waiting for them in the mid-term elections this year. What a misstep for Kerry, therefore Obama saw the fire expanding fast and furiouus and one oh his spokesmen rash to extinguish it before it damamges the core of Obama stronghold: the Senate. Look, a suppose wise stateman who was calle upon to play a referee in a very touchy political situation, will no go out of his way to make an unfair call, throwing the Yellow Flag, so to speak, that might prejudiced the rights of the party, struggling in the game of life.
19. Let The US Boycott Arab Oil Imports
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (02.02.14)
Put pressure on the Arab world to squeeze the local Arabs into sweeping concessions for making peace with Israel. Tell Saudi Arabia that if they do not get Abbas and the rest of the Arabs here to agree to reasonable terms, the US will not buy oil from them. Start with that.
20. Obama wants Muslim Bros in West Bank not PLO
hence talks   (02.02.14)
21. No.9
Ram ,   London   (02.02.14)
Jeff. Do you honestly think that Israel is the problem when you very well know of the indoctrination the PA and Hamas give their population? And who do you make peace with, the PA? What about Hamas, whose very existence is dedicated to the destruction of Israel? Jeff, I would like to think you are not biased.
22. Kerry can't get Pals to accept Jewish state
Sam ,   Canada   (02.02.14)
Kerry can't get Palestinians to accept a Jewish state but he warns Israel to make peace. This is a continuation of a long line of idiots who warn Israel that it MUST make peace while Palestinians reject a Jewish majority Israel. That line of idiots includes Jews and non-Jews.
23. spyguy seattle usa.
Do not $$$$ about ,   with Israel   (02.02.14)
do not underestimate Israel or Jewish brain
24. 21
Jeff ,   USA   (02.02.14)
Ram - I was a long time supporter of Israel. It was not until I educated myself about the history of the formation of the country and began to watch current events with my unbiased eye that my mind changed. To me - all humans are equal and so I cannot support a country that is racist at its core. Do your best to educate yourself about Israels founding. Read current events with an understanding that all humans are equal - and you'll see that it's not me who is biased. Facts do not lie; those who perpetuate injustice often do. Best of luck!
25. Wrong, Jeff !
Jo Hayman ,   USA   (02.02.14)
It's really sad to see someone who is so anti-Semetic, blaming Israel for all the trouble in the world. But G_d said it would be this way in the very last days. "Israel will become a burdensome stone" for the world, basically. And it appears we "are there". Israel will survive, as will Jerusalem. There will be a "new Jersalem" coming down from heaven, from where the world be governed. Looking forward to that! Could be very soon.
26. Henry Manila no 11
(02.02.14)
The European think Israel is Iraq, Kuwait, Yemen, Libya, Afghanistan Yemen & third world country. Israel will let the Europeans to collect thousands of bodies every day back home
27. no 13
(02.02.14)
Israel not for sell. You can sell USA niet problema.
28. Sanctions on Israel
melissa ,   pittsburgh, usa   (02.02.14)
Lift sanctions on Iran and effect sanctions on Israel? This is utter madness ! To all the Jewish people who believed that Mr. Obama was their friend, this should at last open your blind eyes to the terrible truth.
29. Kerry and his boycotts
Brod ,   USA   (02.02.14)
When Kerry threatens Israel with his boycotts, he is not a diplomat but a thug. As such, Israel does not need to meet with such a thug again. The PM should not waste his time meeting with thugs. These Anti-Semites/Anti-Israel elements do not represent America. Judeo-Christian America supports Israel.
30. #25
Jeff ,   USA   (02.02.14)
Accusations of being anti-semitic are par for the course when criticizing Israel. Personally I don't agree with your interpretation of divinity. Perhaps that is what is clouding the lens with which you view the world and making you see Palestinians as less human than Israelis. Perhaps its you who is racist against Palestinians...and not me who is anti-semitic.
