N.L.Katz ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (02.04.14)
I have ceased wondering it a while ago, in light of the fact that Abbas refuses to amend the PLO Charter that calls for Israel's demise; for the "cleansing" of the ancestral homeland of the Jewish people of its Jews; and, the use of all means - terror, deception and all - to achieve the above. And, I have stopped wondering in light of the fact that Mr. Abbas refuses to accept Israel's RIGHT to be, to exist as the sovereign nation-state of the Jewish people on ANY parcel of land of the Jewish people's ancestral homeland. Wouldn't you...??

The Islamic Jihad terror group threatened this week to scuttle any peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinian Authority. "We [will] destroy any accord that legitimizes the Zionist occupation of Palestine," a senior official for the group, Ahmad al-Medlal, told the French daily Le Figaro on Sunday.
7. I wonder if Dr. Abbas is committed to peace?
Alexander Scheiner ,   Israel   (02.04.14)
He is not. As long as he and NIF, Btselem, JVJP and other anti-Zionist NGOs are committed to BDS, there will be no peace. rememberamalek.blogspot
8. Judi, why stop there?
nadav ,   tlv   (02.04.14)
why not ask Abbas if he believes women, ethnic and religion minorities, or LGBT people deserve equal rights protected by law in his "palestine" I bet the answer you'll get is NO! He already said no to Jews living in "palestine", what about gay people? Or atheists? I know Bibi, the "right winger" that the Left loves to bash, has unequivocally committed himself to recognizing and protecting these groups! This begs the next question- does the world really need another despotic Islamist regime ruling by fiat and oppressing minorities! answer: NO!
9. @8 Nadav - You must've missed how many Christian...
Gunnar ,   Gothenburg, Sweden   (02.04.14)
...Palestinians there are. Tens of thousands, actually, and they're not very oppressed, I'm afraid. About LGBT rights??? Well, they probably won't be able to live openly in a Palestinian state. Just as they can't in Russia! Or in Burma! Or in Nigeria! Or in Uganda! Or in Lithuania! Or in India! Or in Vietnam! Or in... I guess you see my point
