1. Contiguity
Max ,   Washington DC   (02.06.14)
What Catherine Ashton left out is that to give Palestinians Contiguity, Israel would have to be divided, including the South to connect Gaza. Jerusalem which is now the undivided Capital of Israel would also have to be divided and terrorists would have easier access to murder sleeping women and children.
2. The West Bank and Jerusalem
S   (02.06.14)
is being handed over to the Arabs. Do the haredim have to join the army to protect the Tel Avivians?
3. Yerushalayem
Joel Fisher ,   Ma Aleh Adumim, Isra   (02.06.14)
From her mouth to G-D's ears ... "These plans could put at risk the prospects of Jerusalem becoming the capital of two states and, in particular, the territorial contiguity between east Jerusalem and the southern West Bank," Catherine Ashton said in a statement
4. Jordan Valley & East Jerusalem
RayS ,   NH, USA   (02.06.14)
A subject nobody faces up to....If Israel gives up control of the Jordan Valley and East Jerusalem (as well as areas in Judea and Samaria of strategic value), it is certain that there will be an outpouring of Israelis from the Land of Israel. It would be obvious that what remains would not be defensable. The Biibi government must state CLEARLY that these areas are not subjects for "negotiation".
5. Israel acts LEGALLY in governance of the territory under its

authority. In so doing Israel doesn't only fulfill its duty under international law, but also under the bilateral and multilateral agreements reached between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). Sadly, it is the UN that spits at parts of its own charter and at other elements of international law, along with bilateral and multilateral agreements that are in place.
6. no basis for pal getting vacant land in YS
bernard ross   (02.06.14)
even if one accepted some of their narrative there is no reason for them to get the vacant land. If 2 people argue over land they do not reside upon then at best split it in half. However, I do not agree as this approach does not take into account Jews expelled from arab lands who came to israel and need more land, Jews who will arrive from the euro cesspool in coming years, the land being specifically agreed and designated for Jewish immigration and settlement, etc.
7. As they construct illegally, they're taken down legally
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (02.07.14)
The Palestinians have *no* legal right to build without permit in that area, as agreed to by the Palestinians themselves back in the mid 1990s. That they willfully violate that agreement and the UN and Red Cross abide by those violations shows the international community cannot be trusted to guarantee any agreement that emerges from the "peace talks".
8. Area C
Hmm. ,   Chicago   (02.07.14)
A sound long-term, if unacknowledged, policy would be for Israel to gradually achieve a de facto annexation of Area C. Palestinians can continue to practice self-governance in Areas A and B.
9. Jews comitting more ethnic cleansing.

The valley should be shared in peace
