Sorry Israel - the man is a ignorant and everybody here in Denmark knows he hate Israel. We are not al like that - most of us love and respect Israel. We are so sorry but understand he´s only one man with bad manners Love from Denmark
5. I hope he is going to fly to Tel Aviv!
Jim Yakamoto ,   My Country   (02.08.14)
The Speaker of the Danish Parliament had be ask the Jordanians to fly him to Ramallah and not via Ben Gurion Airport. He can then go back to Jordan and find his own way to Egypt ans ask Field Marshall Al Sisi if he can go to Gaza. I hope that Foreign Minister Lieberman declared him Persona non Grata!
6. Why should we suck up to Apartheid?
David   (02.08.14)
If a politician arrived in Apartheid South Africa, would he be slammed for not visiting the white rulers in Pretoria - thereby legitimizing their rule? Any true statesman should visit the oppressed and not work with the oppressors.
7. Denmark needs the help of Gaza for high technology....

8. What Israel should do.
Tomi Weiss ,   Serbia   (02.08.14)
Israel should tax all companies doing any business with organizations that are boycotting Israel with additional 10-20% tax. For example as Oxfam was financed by Coca Cola, Coca Cola should withdraw its funding for Oxfam or pay additional 20% tax, as compensation to Bank Leumi to all of its products sold in Israel. You would be surprised how this approach will work. Israel has control over a market of 11 million people, and it is a highly important market.

Exactly correct, Ahmed, which makes the populace of Gaza solely responsible for all actions by Hamas in Gaza, as well as Israel`s reactions. Consider yourself and your fellow Gazans very lucky that Israel has very high moral standards, as, if Putin were the top decision maker for Israel, your beloved terror entity would have been leveled years ago.
13. PERHAPS ? WHO KNOWS ?
FO ,   Belgium   (02.08.14)
Perhaps this honorable gentleman found a copy of the Mandate for Palestine (League of Nations-1922) in the archives of the Norwegian foreign ministry? As this mandate gave the Jews the irrevocable rights to settle between the Sea and the Jordan River, to create their independent state, maybe Mr. Lykketoft thinks that by visiting Ramallah and Gaza, he visits the state of Israel?

Denmark along with Norway and Sweden will be governed by Muslims. Everybody knows it except it seems those three countries (sorry I forgot to include Holland, France, Belgium and the U.K.) I suggest to those citizens to relax and enjoy the benefits of Sharia law !! . . . watch out, burglars, pickpockets and wacky dacky smokers.

21. #6 David: Yes he should visit the oppressed!
Jim Yakamoto ,   My Country   (02.08.14)
Jews have been oppressed for thousands of years. In 1948 22 Arab states declared war on Israel promising Israel's destruction. In 1973 the Arabs attacked Israel on our most solemn religious holiday - Yom Kippur. The Palestinians carried out some of the most heinous terror attacks the world has seen against Israelis of ALL creeds. "President" Abbas was the mastermind of the terror attack which killed 22 children and 6 teachers in the Ma'alot School abomination. He also was behind, with Yasser Arafat, the hijacking of the Achile Lauro and the brutal murder of US citizen, Marvin Klinghoffer, who was pushed overboard in his wheelchair! Palestinians murdered Jewish children an babies while they slept and the butchered their parents. For these and other barbaric acts the Palestinian State rewards them with thousands of dollars. So, David, who is oppressing who and who has called for the State of Palestine to be Jew Free as the Nazis didi in World War II - the term was Judenrein! That is Apartheid!

This has nothing to do with exports and imports. The additional taxation is not aimed to affect any Eu country, but specific companies in and outside EU which do boycott Israel. Those companies should not make profit on Israel as they are currently doing while they promote boycott of Israeli companies outside.

Dont you have any manners - we can disagre but behave. The last linie is a plain insult I wont translate.
24. # 8 Say what??
Daniel   (02.08.14)
You suggest that Israel should slap an additional tax on certain companies. Ok, and what then? Well, those companies decide it's not profitable doing business in Israel and pull out of Israel. It will cost them next to nothing, but ordinary Israelis will again suffer. I don't know what it is with these extremists who insist on isolating Israel. Do they think this it's an even playing field? Israel's economy is an international dwarf, about 1.5% in size of the EU economy. Try to punish international companies, and they simply leave Israel. What will be won by that??

Your 'very high moral standards' are well known in civilised world, so save your breath ,...

Clearsighted   (02.09.14)
Rubbish. Apartheid in South Africa was a policy in which a MINORTIY of South African CITIZENS discriminated against the majority of their FELLOW CITIZENS. In Apartheid South Africa, there were no black citizens elected to parliament. There were no black citizens who sat on the Supreme Court. The Palestinians are NOT citizens of Israel. Israel has as much right to control their entry or non-entry into Israel as the United States or any other sovereign country has to control the movement of non-citizens,. If Israel were an Apartheid state, there would be no Arab members of the Knesset nor would there be an Arab on the Israeli Supreme Court.

Apartheid?! Where Israeli arabs go to the same hospitals as Jews and are treated by the same Jewish and arab doctors and nurses? Where arabs vote, are represented in the knesset and sit on the Supreme Court? Where the wall is a direct answer to terrorism, suicide bombers from the WB? Where Israel withdrew from Gaza and is rewarded with rockets and mortars? Go look up "apartheid" in a dictionary before you talk of 'sucking up'. You'll find the word is apropos to your warm-hearted peace-loving arab friends.
29. lets play the same game as the danes
zionist forever   (02.09.14)
Israeli companies should not work with Danish ones and Jews in Israel and abroad should be encouraged to boycott products from Denmark or companies that have Israel boycotts. They think they can hurt Israel though boycotts so lets use the same tactic to try hurt them. If this Danish politician prefers Hamas - Israel then lets embarrass Denmark publicly same way Gideon Saar tole Kerry exactly what to go do with himself. Israel's problem is it knows nothing about fighting diplomatic wars and its enemies especially the palestinians are masters of it.

In South Africa the blacks were a majority but a tiny white minority were rulers. They not only were rulers of the country but they were oppressive and the blacks had virtually no rights not even allowed to walk the same side of the road as white people. In SA it was not about enemies and terror they were all citizens of the same country but discriminated against for no other reason but their skin colour. Trying to compare the arab / Israel conflict - apartheid SA is an insult to anybody who was actually a victim of real apartheid.
