1. The hospital should allow private
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (02.10.14)
patients to fill their cash deficit.
2. WITH MORE MANAGERS (900) THAN DOCTORS (850)
(02.10.14)
it is entirely unbelievable that doctor salaries are the problem in Hadassah's financial fiasco. from the surface of the monies involved it seems far more likely that criminal investigations should immediately be called into play.
3. Israel

Is spiraling down the toilet.
4. Deficit
Joe Justice ,   Jerusalem   (02.10.14)
"Working like ants - where is the money?" read one of the signs held up by protesters. Answer - Look at your so-called "manager's" tlushim. "the management's request is a case of underhanded opportunism" Correction: " WAS a case"....money gone
5. There is a Limit
Zechariah   (02.11.14)
There is a limit to how far you can push these health workers under big pressure with their work .By the Public I hope it will be the Moguls Property Developers and other unjust Gainers of Profit -Remember the Biblical Injunction Hate Unjust Gain.
6. I predicted it all when WZOA arrived
Mea   (02.11.14)
Bringing in American medical organization and their profit driven models will bust up the Israeli medical delivery system for healthcare. WZOA's goal is to procure the research and development of Israeli health centers. By getting a foothold into the culture, ramping up wages for private care (and thereby getting doctors dependent on higher wages) Hadassah of American syphons Israelis for that profit margin. When Hasdassh ushered in Komen Foundation and stomped all over the gloriously successful Israel Cancer Association, and then built the Hasdassah tower on credit (instead of getting somebody like Adelson to pay for it and call it the "adelspn medical center) I thought shish, there goes Israel's system. THis strike is an example of what can happen when you allow in American models based on profit over universal care for all. It is the hairline crack that will become a chasm and then a wide gulf between the rich who can afford private care and the poor who must rely on the public baskets. The trouble is that as this gulf broadens, the middle class disappears and the rich complain about carrying the load of the majority who are poor. I support this strike and I hope Israel has learned lessons.
7. The Chutzpah of Hadassah
Ralph ,   Rishon   (02.11.14)
Hadassah wants to keep ownership of the hospitals, but wants someone else, in this case the Government of Israel, to pay for its deficits. Sorry ladies of Hadassah, you can't have it both ways.

A private system offers the best care. In America, all patients get a private or semi-private room. In Israel we stack our patients until the hallways are full. The rooms routinely have 6 or 7 patients with men and women in the same room! Your communist / socialist system sucks, quite honestly. As for the financial problems with Hadasah, there is bankruptcy as a remedy like with all businesses. A court will order what to do. This is not a crisis. The hospital can be kept open while salaries are paid. A court-appointed administrator can take over until all is settled. Making doctors work 24 hours per day for peanuts is not the answer.
9. Fee for Service
Zechariah   (02.20.14)
All health professionals ought charge fee for service except for poor and disabled with a safety net beyond which treatment is free.Like the Plumbers and Electricians some ex doctors apparently.
