1. WHAT PEACE?!!! We have had nothing but terror and rockets!!!
Shimon ,   Sderot   (02.11.14)
We have not had one second of peace (no) thanks to Mr. Sharon.
2. Thank you for the photos and the stones for Lili and Arik
Rivkah   (02.11.14)
that appear to be stones that are not cut by human hands although engraved with names. That is an important point to HaShem since the Holy Scriptures say cutting a stone with human hands makes it unclean to the Lord. When the Patriarch Abraham built an altar to the Lord, he used stones that were not cut by human hands. I believe that the Lion of Judah approves of the lovely simplicity of the memorial. I personally felt when seeing the black stone memorial of Hertzl in Jerusalem that it was not appropriate since to HaShem a black stone signifies disapproval while a white stone means approval. White uncut stones for Lili and Arik Sharon are most appropriate. I would like to see the black hewn memorial stone for Hertzl changed to a white unhewn stone. How a black hewn stone could be chosen for so great a man, I could not imagine. I felt sorrow in my heart at that choice. But the lovely stones for Lili and Arik are a wonderful choice and I hope something similar is done for Hertzl's memorial so that the subconscious effects on people viewing that will say, this is how HaShem prefers a memorial stone or an altar with Him in mind, to be.
3. The same few dozens who attended his funeral
Yoni ,   Beit Shemesh   (02.11.14)
Had Sharon been the powerful PM the public expected from him instead of acceding to the demands of the left, he would have had thousands at his funeral. Instead, he suffered the last 8 years because of his foolishness and only had an embarrassment few dozens at his funeral. If Bibi will follow his footsteps of ousting Jews from their homes, he'll end up with the same little respect.
4. #3 sure, that's why..

Sharon's funeral was attended by senior representatives of major nations, while his life and place in history was covered wall to wall in the western press from Jerusalem to Noatuk Alaska to the outskirts of humanity and back again, praising his courage and ability stand up to the pressure from the right that was risking relationships with the west and causing a demographic tsunami should the settlers in Gaza remain out of the census area. Sharon's warning stands: Those who decide to settle in the territories must accept that a day will come when they are beyond the security of the State of Israel. Sharon was indeed very powerful, simply because he had the willingness to reverse course in politics in order to achieve what was best for the nation. He was no one's puppet. He respected the religious and fulfilled his duty to protect them even when they could not or would not accept that protection. Above all, he thoroughly understood the methodology of the Arab political strata and he met Arafat with an equally commanding savageness. By comparison, Netanyahu appears untalented. As for the numbers at his funeral, I am willing to suggest that many many thousands of people paused in their days last month to reflect on Ariel Sharon's era as a leader and war hero. That people avoid funerals in a nation of continuous funerals is of little consequence. I have been to way too many myself, and would likely visit Anemone Hill later on as so many have.
5. "Always peaceful and friendly..."
Avi ,   NYC, USA   (02.11.14)
Just ask the residents of Qibia, Sabra & Shatila and the grieving mothers of the IDF soldiers who died in the Lebanon War if they agree with this description of Sharon.
6. Jerusalem stones are off white in color but are symbolic of
Rivkah   (02.12.14)
living stones that those who belong to HaShem are called by the Holy Scriptures that together build a wall. A door or a gate is a symbol of Rabbi Yahoshua who was made sin for us to reconcile those who love HaShem to Him. The living stones form the wall of HaShem's kingdom. That is one of the reasons the cherishing of the Kotel is so important. I keep photo throws of pictures I took of the Kotel and other walls in Jerusalem to constantly remind me of the city most loved by HaShem on earth and the walls of Jerusalem stone that symbolize the people of HaShem glued together for the strength of being bound together. Now, the grave of Theodore Hertzl needs to be topped off with a Jerusalem stone monument. A white stone signifies HaShem's approval in the Holy Scriptures. Or, white marble sides and top could be added to the Hertzl monument since black means disapproval to HaShem and Hertzl was not a Muslim devotee of the black moonstone in Mecca.
