1. Nazi symbols
Nessicha ,   Bulgaria   (02.12.14)
That's a shame. As a Bulgarian I am sorry to read about that. You are right - such symbols should be banned. I pray our government will start caring enough to do that.
2. Strange...
A Jerusalemite ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (02.12.14)
I do find this strange. Visited Bulgaria, traveled around and visited Plovdiv, Veliko Turnovo, Kanaluk and stayed some days in Sofia. I found the people much nicer and more sympathetic to an Israeli than anywhere else in Europe. It was the only country in which I was not verbally attacked for being an Israeli. I can't imagine a Bulgarian that would say the "Hitler is good".
3. It makes you wish....
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (02.13.14)
that Karma bites those people really hard.
4. Bulgaria is a borderline 3rd world country
k ,   US   (02.12.14)
I wouldn't expect anything less from the things that live in that place, why anyone would want to take a vacation there is beyond me
5. To the shocked Mom
Steve Goodman ,   Israel   (02.12.14)
If you had been paying attention to the local scenery you would have noticed that there are these despictable symols on the sides of bridges, painted graffiti on many landmarks and houseswith absolutely no attempt made to erase or paint over them......you chose poorly
6. enter
Helene ,   Merkaz   (02.13.14)
Without minding neither the police nor the salesperson, I would have broken some of the mugs (may be all) and face the consequences !!!!!!!
7. Another childhood dream shattered
Scarborough1414 ,   Scarborough, ON, CA   (02.12.14)
I was told how the Bulgarians saved fifty thousand Jews from the Nazis by not turning them over to A. Eichmann. After the war, nearly all fifty thousand went to Israel (some went elsewhere). So I grew up thinking maybe the Bulgars aren't so bad. Now I see this (see photo above). Another childhood dream shattered. (I'm not saying that every Bulgar is an anti-Semite. But nonsense like this has to be stamped out or else it spreads like wildfire). How unfortunate.
8. Tourist Shops Must Be Having Problem With ....
World Citizen ,   the world   (02.13.14)
Israeli Shoplifters. It's kind of like hanging garlic around your neck to ward off vampires.
9. calm down
Aram   (02.13.14)
being Nazi in Bulgaria means beaing against muslims and gypsies. judaism and jews dont play an significant role it their ideology. jews got replaced by muslims. among right wingers the debate is not on "jewish takeover" anymore but about "muslim takeover"

You don't have to go to Bulgaria to see swastikas in public places you can see it next door (proof on line) on Palestinian doorways with a massage under 'ARABS TO THE GAS, JDL' or other nasty things painted by your homies not to mention burning people's cars only because the owners are Palestinians ,...
11. Jews
Jim ,   L.A.   (02.13.14)
Apparently you jews feel you have a right not to be offended. You don't seem to tolerate dissent of any sort. Peculiar semitic mentality not at all compatible with the European mindset. Don't travel to Europe. Stay in Israel, and take all jews residing in Europe with you.
12. occupy Bulgaria
(02.13.14)
13. Vacation???
Oleg ,   Fort lauderdale USA   (02.13.14)
Why travel to Bulgaria, Rumania, Ukraine and even Russia. Israelis do not like to spend $$$ on a good vacation they look for cheap holes. Cheap always become expensive and bad. Why go to India, Nepal or some dirt poor and dangerous central and south American countries is totally insane. You pay for stupidety. Come to Florida for a great vacation.
14. Seriously Ynet
Gabe ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (02.13.14)
Do you have nothing better to write about? Seriously, start concentrating on actual news.
15. I have traveled...
Raoul ,   Herzliya, Israel   (02.13.14)
through Bulgaria and did not encounter anything like this. I was impressed by the prominent public plaques in Sophia and other cities commemorating the saving of Jews from the nazis, and no sign of graffiti. Question is, which is the true Bulgaria of today?
16. #4 Israel isnt far off being 3rd world neither.. trust me
Shatner   (02.13.14)

18. #14 This news article is to remind us that we have enemies
Issy Baum ,   Rehovet, Israel   (02.13.14)
we shouldnt leave Israel and no where in the world is safe for us to go to. Keep us all here and charge us every day $$$ for the priviledge of doing so. The establishment does it because they can. I use to be a proud zionist 40 years ago, but this place sucks the zionist out of you.

ghostq   (02.13.14)

20. This is absurd
Asen Ganchev ,   Sofia, Bulgaria   (02.13.14)
I am 100% sure that selling of such crap is banned in Bulgaria and the shop owners and whoever imported those mugs violate the law. Actually you can't see such "gifts" anywehere else in Bulgaria - I am shocked too see them in Bansko. Believe me - Bulgarians do not support the Nazi regime or its ideology.
21. #19. Bulgaria is not next to the west bank

22. Swastikas
Harold ,   USA   (02.13.14)
Swastikas can be seen whereever you be and specially in India where their favorite books starts with a Swastika.
23. Fascist and Nazi symbols
ontologix ,   München/Germany   (04.10.14)
Go to Italy and you will find such objects with Hitler and/or Mussolini portraits everywhere (except in German speaking South Tirol). Italians seem to have no problems with the inventor of fascism. You find such objects easily in the shops of motorway stops and especially in Predappio around the Mussolini mausoleum where a uniformed fascist will greet you with the fascist salute. In one Italian shop in the Trentino province German tourists had complained about the display of such symbols. The shopkeeper has now added bottles with the portraits of Stalin, Mao, Che Guevara and - believe it or not - Ben Gurion.
24. Old News
Geoff Johnson ,   Liverpool   (10.09.18)
Go to Venice. You can get a bottle of wine with Adolf and a swastika on the label, or El Duce if you prefer.. Franco too.
Italy is full of Nazi's
25. People are free to sell what they want
Alaric ,   Bolgarnia   (02.03.19)
This is like the liberal mentality in the United States. If you go looking for something to offend you, you’ll surely find it. Why not just mind your own business. The merchandise is there for someone to buy it, that someone just isn’t this person complaining.
26. Don't like it? Too bad.
Neko ,   Tabarnia   (02.04.19)
Someone got offended I guess...
But if you don't like it, don't buy it. It's simple! It's the capitalist mindset -- produce stuff for marketing different niches.-- Maybe you can find mugs with the Che Guevara's portrait too and nobody is whining, not even hardcore right wingers.
