A truly disgusting and reprehensible thing to say about someone who is just expressing her opinions. But of course we all know that you are an anti-democratic and xenophobic extremist. That's why sane people don't even take you seriously.

I don't think your statement is sufficient. I think you should buy a couple of liters of gasoline, pour it over yourself and set yourself alight on a street corner in north Tel Aviv. That would get your message across, loud and clear, probably as long as it would take to clean up the sludge. Why stop at half-way measures? Do you lack the courage to stand for your convictions? Are you that much of a coward? Why, for that matter, are you not running around Jenin, performing acts of compassion and mercy? Or do you recognize that you would have a shelf life of about 30 seconds? If you want to protest, then do it right. Otherwise, your gestures are meaningless .... particularly in light of the number of people who now go out of their way to buy settlement products exclusively. You need to do something to step up your game. Self-immolation is just the thing -- it worked for the Buddhist monks in Vietnam, didn't it? Don't you remember their names?

Fortunately, someone who doesn't know the difference between "by" and "buy" is too much of an intellectual lightweight to amount to much. Go wallow in your incredible mediocrity, and watch closely as people queue for hours just for the privilege of purchasing settlement-made products. Don't you feel stupid!

Thank you for this article, now I know which wine to buy; Pisgot wine!

No, just an idle observation. Do you always see snakes under your bed, sluggo? Tsk, tsk. I'm sure with proper psychiatric care, you'll be just fine.

Just as disgusting as when Professor Zimmerman called to use tanks to kill "settler" children, or various Israel politicians called on Fatah to attack only Jewish civilians east of the Green Line.
37. wishful thinking of AP reporter
Israeli   (02.13.14)
Cities such as Ma'ala Adumim and Ariel are deep inside the Israeli consensus. And no one sane person in Israel looks at big Jewish neighborhoods in Jerusalem as settlements. Israelis are not even aware that the city of Modiin is considered a settlement by the EU.

Admittedly, I feel a little stupid, mostly because someone who spends her days venting her anger by writing vicious talkbacks (including death threats - see #2 post) corrected my spelling. Other than that, no, I'm feeling pretty good. And even better since I'm not BUYING made in settlement products! :-).
39. #32 The cesspit of Sarah B's mind
Michael ,   Haifa   (02.13.14)
Only a very very sick mind could come up with such advice for me to commit suicide by self-immolation, because I choose .not to buy products from the settlements

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.13.14)
Not at all. I'm merely suggesting a way for you to put meaning into your pitiful existence. You proudly announced that you boycott settlement-made goods. I am pointing out that if you REALLY want to sell the product, you must act definitively. Surely you find it disagreeable that you must breathe the same air as someone who goes out of their way to support settlement industry. I'm inviting you to prove it. You're too much of a coward, of course.

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.13.14)
No, I corrected your usage. You spelled the word "by" properly. I'm glad you're feeling good. I know the feeling, especially when I see all the people -- in New York, in Canada, in Europe and in Israel who go out of their way to purchase settlement-made goods. Sherry-Lehmann says they can barely keep up with the demand! You were born too late. Seventy years ago, you'd have been a poster child for a kapo. I bet you probably keep leather boots and a whip handy, hoping for a chance to fulfill your meager life's ambitions. You really ought to convert, renounce your citizenship and move to Gaza City. You'll feel very much at home there. Who knows? Perhaps your compatriots will throw you a parade, or name a street after you. You are a pitiful excuse for a human being, and you are certainly not a Jew.

I'm now just sitting here laughing. Picturing you bitterly mumbling to yourself and trying to think of even more brutal and vial things to say, curses to cast on your opponents - real and imagined. Doesn't matter, your anger will burn itself out. In the end - due to external pressure or internal, the settler folly will end. And they will come back to live in Israel. We may or may not still have external enemies after that, but we'll still have angry Sara - cursing the left to her computer screen. Back to work.
46. Settelments products
Non Jewish Immigrant ,   Haifa   (02.13.14)
My partner and I always look carefully at what we buy in the supermarket. I have a list of brands of products made in the settlements which I spread among my friends in Israel and in Europe so we know what to avoid buying. Boycotting these compagnies and their products is a civil and non violent way of standing for justice and refusing to take part in this horrible colonialist machine. If the products are manufactured within the Green line they enter my basket, otherwise, they stay on the shelves.
47. A HIGHER CALLING
bill ,   Skokie U.S.A.   (02.13.14)
Yoram Cohen, of the Tanya winery in the settlement of Ofra, called the "Israeli boycotters "trendy" hypocrites who had no problem purchasing wine from countries with much worse human rights records". This statement is true, but who are those countries? Israel has forever been called to a HIGHER STANDARD to be the light unto the world GODS choosen people to be the demonstrators of what is right, and what is wrong! If Israel wants to be counted among the nations with horrible records then be my guest. But the Israel I pray for is one of admiration, Gods High Priests, a nation called to be a ROLL MODEL for the rest of the world. Where is that Israel?

Please point out to me what part of international law, convention and precedent is violated by Israel's settlement and retention of nonsovereign land It acquired in the course of fighting a defensive war? Moreover, please point out to me what would preclude Israel from annexing Judea and Samaria and repatriating its Arab residents to Jordan, the country of their citizenship? Please keep in mind that any answer which includes "every country" is a priori unacceptable because (a) you do not speak for "every country" and (b) every country happens to be espousing nonexistent legal tenets. So, please enlighten me. Why is it that you and your partner choose to live in the State of Israel? Why not decamp to the Gaza Strip? I'm sure you will find the residents of Gaza most receptive to your silly preaching about justice. So, why not leave Israel, since you are so against everything that Israel represents? You are not behaving like a good guest should, you know. Perhaps you and your Arab friend ought to leave. What's wrong with Italy?

Not all Jews are as cowardly as you. But it is interesting that you are in the same camp as the Neturei Karta and the Satmar, whom I do not consider to be Jewish. Do you agree with them on all things? Let's see -- ignorant, ill-informed and in bed philosophically with the Neturei Karta and the Satmar. Congratulations; you've hit the trifecta! I bet that -- like your ideological brethren -- you didn't serve in the IDF. You really are pathetic.
50. Non-Violent Opposition To Apartheid Through The BDS Movement
World Citizen ,   the world   (02.13.14)
It is the way of the past and the future. It defeated the British colonialists in India, the British colonialists in South Africa and it will defeat the European colonists in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. Israel has signed many agreements (starting with the peace treaty with Egypt) to honour UN resolution 242. This requires that Israel move back into its 1949 to 1967 borders. Israel has never kept its promises and has used every tactic avoid negotiating with the legally elected representative government of the Palestinian people. With no other means to break the intransigence of the Israeli government average people throughout the world will not only boycott goods made in the West Bank but also agricultural goods and products made inside pre-1967 Israel. It's the only way left to fight apartheid. And as far as the usual retorts that we should all stop using our computers well that is not going to happen. We are going to use those computers on the internet to pass the word on the BDS. Isn't it ironic that Israelis will have to stop making and exporting those chips if they want to stop the BDS Movement? We win in either case.
