Sorry Shaul, Ben-Gurion never accepted the specifics of the partition plan and embraced only those parts he agreed with, i.e. Israeli statehood. He made that abundantly clear when during the war he conquered far more area than was allotted to Israel in the partition plan, and steadfastly refused entreaties by the US to return territory not given by partition.
