Beit al-Maqdis is the Arabic translation of Biblical Hebrew's Bayt ha-Miqdash = the Holy Temple (which King Solomon built in Jerusalem almost 3000 years ago). That is more specific than the entire Holy City (Jerusalem, called Y'rushalayim Ir ha-Qodesh in Hebrew and Madinat al-Quds, or just al-Quds, in Arabic).

associated press report doesn't even notice the irony of "translating" beit al-maqdis (from beit hamikdash, the hebrew term for the temple) as jerusalem. as it was 2,000 years before mohammed was born, and 3,000 before the "arab narrative" tried to erase its jewishness.

As a strategy it has worked well enough in Gaza and WB. Destroy the livelihood of workers and make them dependent on your handouts. Make them vote for you AND become jihadists.
