1. Direct or indirect?
(02.18.14)
Was that trying to acknowledge Israel as the Lord of Host? Long way from that.
2. Correct me if I'm wrong
(02.18.14)
but isn't it a crime to maintain contacts with a terrorist organization?
3. who knew?
tom ,   toronto, canada   (02.18.14)
gee, the rest of us thought that gilad shalit's release was due to the release of 1,000 palestinian terrorists! maybe the protestors should have set up their "no price is too high" campaign in front of gershon baskin's house.
4. Shalit was *not* well cared for by Hamas
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (02.18.14)
Have people forgotten how emaciated he was on his release? Quite a contrast to the healthy, well-fed Palestinian prisoners Israel has released. Then again, Hamas doesn't abide by the Geneva Conventions, but only on "Islam's laws regarding prisoners of war".
5. May I have the envelope please ....
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.18.14)
.... and the answer is a big, emphatic "No." Then please throw Baskin's sorry ass in prison on charges of treason. Haniyeh is not in the least bit interested in effecting a rapprochement with Israel. He is unable to control the terrorists operating from Gaza, and he knows that Israel considers Hamas to be responsible for all terrorist activities stemming from Gaza. Moreover, how is it possible to construe Hamas' order to withdraw the security forces responsible for guarding against terrorist attacks upon Israel as anything but explicit approval of those attacks? Haniyeh knows that Israel is going to drop the retaliation hammer (as well it should). He's just trying to buy time, until he can re-arm and resume his terrorist attacks upon the State of Israel. The time to punish him is now. If he cannot control his terrorist minions, that is not Israel's problem. Israel has every right to retaliate against terrorist attacks, and we shall continue to do so.
6. Haniya has already denied this report.
Dalia ,   Kfar Vitqin   (02.18.14)
7. HOW TOUCHY....
les ,   canada   (02.18.14)
honiyeh sending "conciliatory" message (by a traitor) to the pm. evidently he still does not feel strong enough to attack, so he buys time, like his idol, the ayatollah. when will the israeli government wake up, and smell the coffe...?
8. To: Dalia at No. 6
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.18.14)
Of course he denied it! It simply will not do to have heads of terrorist organizations shrieking "Help! Please don't retaliate against poor little me!" You can get drummed out of all the best terrorist organizations for doing that. That would leave Haniyeh with a social circle of zero. Haniyeh is on the ropes. This is the time for Israel to deliver a crushing blow.
9. Let Baskin stick to making ice cream.

William ,   Israel   (02.18.14)
Is this the message we should take from Hamas' denial of the message? Let's test it out, shall we?
