How long until the "Palestinians" claim it as an ancient "Palestinian" site and should be named as such by UNESCO?

Because there aren't any. They're an invented people, whose DNA places them squarely in the Hejaz in the Western Arabian desert.
5. WAIT FOR IT... IT WAS THE JEWS WHO PUSHED OUT THE PALIS...
stude ham   (02.18.14)

Leon   (02.18.14)
That would finally lay to rest the Phoenicians' claims of hummus primacy.
8. WOW! No Palestinian artifacts?
Jim Yakamoto ,   My Country   (02.18.14)
Of course not because the Palestinians come from ARABIA and that is where they belong! Sorry Abu Mazen, 2300 years ago there were no Palestinians, no Christians and no Arabs but there were JEWS!

The Palestinians have no historical claim to any part of Israel, particularly Jerusalem. Tear down the al-Aqsa Mosque and rebuild the Temple!

The article is about a 2300 year old village discovered NEAR Jerusalem. It's not an archaeological dig in the Old City. The Moslem imperialist occupation authority the Al Waqf won't allow Israel to even dig under the Temple Mount - the holiest place in our capital. Blame the Israeli authorities for giving this authority to Al Waqf. Pottery, Hebrew inscriptions, King David's Palace, tombs of Israelite/Jewish kings, the Siloam Channel, Hezekiah's Tunnel etc prove a 3000-year old Jewish precence in the Old City of Jerusalem. There's no doubt of Jewish presence in Jerusalem for the past 3000 years even when you're right that so far no physical evidence has been found specifically regarding the very First Temple - the Temple of Solomon. But buildings and structures dating back to the First Temple Period in the Old City HAVE been found! Dr. Eilat Mazar recently discovered a massive wall structure in the "Ophel" area between the City of David and the Temple Mount's southern wall. The wall proves a high level of engineering and dates back to the 10th Century BCE - the era of the First Temple of Solomon. So Jerusalem is definitely a Jewish city for the past 3000 years - now we just have to finally dig under the Temple Mount and get rid of the Al Waqf authority. 3000 years ago, the Poles didn't even exist. And if you attack the very existence of an ancient Israel you also attack the existence of the Jews and Judaism, and thereby you attack the very existence of your Catholic Christian faith. And let me conclude by saying that attacking Jewish history does not produce a single evidence or a single shred of "Palestinian" history. And let me conclude that no matter how much you hate the Jews, you can't escape the fact that hatred of others is a disguised hatred of oneself. Yes Israeli archaeologists will keep digging - and they'll find the Temple of Solomon.
15. 9-It is a scientific fact. They are Arabs

Palestinian are not homogenous group, and few tribes near Hebron even have Jewish DNA. But Palestinians are mostly genetically Arab, and the origin of Arabs DNA is in the Arab peninsula and Egypt. Google it.
16. Divine Upsurdity: A Roman Pope calls Mosies as Pals!
BUTSeriously ,   Sydney   (02.19.14)
The Pope's Roman ancestors dumped this name exclusively on Jews as a mark of genocide. The Vatican now uses this as a reverse genocide, applying it to those, like Rome, who want Israel as Capta. Can such people brave confronting a real Messiah!?

What proof is there that Jesus ever lived, walked on water, or fed the multitudes? Oh, that's right! There isn't any. Heh heh heh. Why not pray to Rumplestilskin?

Please recount for us one single, solitary piece of concrete evidence that Jesus existed. Earliest written accounts date to 100 C.E. On the other hand, there is no shortage of contemporaneous written accounts attesting to King Solomon. Of course, if it would make you happy, we'd be perfectly amenable to dynamiting that ugly blue eyesore in Jerusalem and digging on the original Temple Mount. Would you like us to do that, sluggo? In the meantime ... how about a little proof as to Jesus' existence. Start digging.

"Palestinian" DNA makes it scientific fact, ace. That's your bloodline -- all the reinvention of history cannot change the story told by your DNA. Which happens to be a very different story from the fairy tales you people like to spin.

"The most frequently voiced argument by those who challenge the historical existence of the United Monarchy is a supposed lack of archaeological evidence. In most cases these arguments are either grossly misleading, illogical, disingenuous or all three." - Jane Cahill - Biblical Archaeological Review, 11/12/2004, p 27. "The kingdom of Solomon included all David's conquests: Edom, Moab, Ammon and Aram-Damascus. Moreover, it had a common frontier with Hamath, the important Neo-Hittite kingdom in northern Syria that may quite possibly have been included, politically speaking, within the area under Solomon's hegemony" - A History of the Jewish People, Edited by H.H. Ben Sasson, p. 102. Regarding the two temples: several artifacts from the First and Second Temple periods have been found in the Old City of Jerusalem.
21. Probably abandoned due to lack of water
Shai ,   Canada   (02.23.14)
It's possible that there was a drought in the region at about that time (2300YA). Due to the elevation of the site—and a lack of good pumping technology—it would have been a huge effort to carry enough water to irrigate this village's orchards and other crops. Increased water demand by towns lower on the watershed (also facing dry conditions) could have led to a drawdown of the water table, possibly below the reach of this town's wells. Such a proposed "dry period" would also account for the general downturn in the economic fortunes of Judea during that period.
