1. Well, isn't that special?

I certainly hope that no one had the nerve to get really sick and/or die over the past sixteen days. That would REALLY have put a major dent in the physicians' self-indulgent pity party. When you raise your right hand and take an oath, it's supposed to mean something. Last I checked, the Oath of Maimonides (or the Hippocratic Oath, if you prefer not to perform abortions) is still a requirement in order to practice medicine in the State of Israel. Putting oneself ahead of the welfare of a patient -- especially if it is in the guise of wanting what is best for the patient -- violates both Oaths. For shame!

They had no insurance, so it wasn't even legal for them to work. And you seem to be very concerned of the Drs morals, but not in the least bit concered they didn't get paid, and many of them don't get such a high salary and are living month to month. Not once was a patient life in danger because of this strike, but if they hadn't striked and worked with no insurance and no pay lives would have been in danger because of quality of care.

Why are you telling Sarah B this.......she seems to have a legal background and that species do not care one iota about money. Remember: health is wealth.....you cant buy it. Look after Drs and they will look after you; dont look after them and they will still look after you. I hope same applies to the legal eagles.

"I'm sorry, but this patient bled to death because I couldn't stitch his gaping wound because I haven't been paid and I might not have insurance." What's next, Rose? The dog ate your homework? Does one become a physician in order to make money? Or should there be something beyond a pecuniary motive?
5. you want to solve hadassah problems change the board
zionist forever   (02.20.14)
Hadassah for years has been run by an incompitent board of directors some of whom are Americans living in America rather than Israel so they can't understand the system properly. Time to fire every single member of the existing board and pick a new ones every member of the new board must live in Israel. Bonuses must also be paid on performance only. Hadassah had been in trouble for a long time but rather than making a better job of balancing the books they were spending more money and getting more bonuses. If these board members were self employed their operating style would be very different.
