I am in full agreement with Joe from Ohio. Get a life People! I think Angela Merkel is a great leader and a great friend of Israel and the Jews. Besides, there might just be a Photoshop adjustment here and there. Please people out-there, of course we must think "never again", of course "Let’s we forget” (or something like that), but not everything has to do with the holocaust or what the German did (the Ukrainian were actually worse!) Learn to move forward and to look to the future. It's a more healthy attitude, believe me.

Why would anyone want to send this pic around the world. It's in bad taste. The Germans are just becoming more friendly with the Israelis and pics like this don't make for better friends. Merkel hates but has to live with with the nazis did and this doesn't help.

Netanyahu isn't fit to kiss the feet of Angela Merkel.

As well as #3, I have got serious doubts about the authenticity of this picture. To cast a shadow of such deep black density on the upper lip of Mrs. Merkel, Mr. Netanyahu's finger should have been situated only a few centimeters from the shadow, taking into consideration that the picture wasn't taken in total darkness, but in suitable available light conditions for video recording. There was certainly an intervention of a retouching program in this case. Other elements could be investigated, as the shadow of the finger compared to the shape of Mr. Netanyahu's finger, as well as the angle of said shadow to the shadow cast by the sleeve on Mr. Netanyahu's jacket. This should be done, having the original picture (eventual chip) at hand! Is there any independent authority in Israel, having the power to verify the authenticity of photographic and film/video news items, in order to prevent unnecessary diplomatic trouble, and control the professional integrity of photographers and cameramen? If it doesn't exist, it should be created urgently to prevent eventual catastrophic results. Remember the "Al Dura" affair !
