1. It's the PA that'snot interested in peace
Michael Redbourn ,   Lisbon Portugal   (02.28.14)
Every Palestinian that I've met would love to have peace and to be able to get on with his/her life and to have a job. But The PA doesn't represent most Palestinians. I have only met Palestinians in Israel who had jobs .. and know that many don't want a peace agreement without getting lots of stuff that they will never get.
2. However many agree
Sherlock Holmes ,   London England   (02.28.14)
With Barak and Olmert, Israelis were interested in peace, but the PA made unrealistic demands such as the 'right of return' for millions of Arabs to Israel. However many Israelis agree, the PA will torpedo a final agreement, probably over Jerusalem's Old City and Temple Mount.
3. Survey just a pile of propaganda
Cowboy Joe ,   Calgary, Canada   (02.28.14)
4. Lies, damned lies, and statistics
Igor ,   Germany   (02.28.14)
"When presented with the central aspects of Kerry's peace position (in a tone that makes them sound positive for Israel), respondents [...] did not reject them flat out[...]" 1. Do we know what Kerry's proposal actually is? Does Kerry himself know? 2. Radical leftists invent hypothetical propositions of a non-existing peace agreement, Israelis find them good, and Ynetnews titles it a "Rise in support for Kerry's framework"?!?!?!?
5. Survey results
Joe Mevorah ,   Lincoln,USA   (02.28.14)
The results of this survey indicate a reserved willingness to bring peace to the region. However, wishful thinking will not end this conflict. Until Abbas is willing to accept Israel's demand for a Jewish state, which will in reality eliminates the refugee issue, Abas will not sign on. It would mean disaster for him, and possible assasination.
6. Here's the key
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.28.14)
"This interesting trend reveals that it is crucially important to promote activity within the soft right." I guess that would depend a great deal and how you are trying to pitch the survey. This wasn't a neutral, fact-finding survey. This was a cagey attempt on the part of the left and far-left to find out who best to brainwash. What are they trying to achieve? To see if Netanyahu can leave Likud to form a new party, and who would vote for it? A poll that deliberately seeks to fashion an outcome is not a poll. Put simply -- if Netanyahu were to leave Likud, strike out in his own (doubtful; I don't believe Netanyahu commissioned this poll), the simple fact of the matter is that the most likely next prime minister will be Naftali Bennett. Not a bad thing. Interesting, too, that no matter who commissioned the poll or what the political bent of the pollsters, the "Palestinians" still have to recognize that the State of Israel is a Jewish state, Hebron belongs to the Jewish people, and the Settlement blocs must be part of the State of Israel. Tell me something I didn't already know.
7. Haaretz,Betslem support for Kerry's framework peace deal
Rosenvald ,   Brazil   (02.28.14)
And Aravim.
8. Yet another phony B.S. leftist survey.
Chaim ,   Israel   (02.28.14)
The far left organization sponsoring this phony B.S. survey got exactly the results it wanted. Who cares about Kerry's "daunting task"? This evil fraud is intended to pave the way for Israel's destruction.
9. "Survey results" wouldn't fool an ape.
Chaim ,   Israel   (02.28.14)
According to this ludicrous survey 56 per cent of Israelis would vote for Bibi if he started a new party to give away Israel How stupid do these leftists think Israelis are??? No party supporting such an agenda has ever gotten anywhere near 56 per cent of the vote. This survey and its results wouldn't fool an ape.
10. Smart Israeli public wants peace and security.
Michael ,   California, USA   (02.28.14)
Smart Israelis want the same as most people in the world: to live well and let others live. Smart Israelis have patience to watch the peace process unfold and they will support the outcome. But soon we'll be reading here comments from those who don't want to live well: right wingers who want land and ignore all others who live on that land, religious fanatics, people stuck in perpetual narrow mindedness. They can speak out while preparing for the peace agreement. Let them be prepared to becoming overwhelmed soon.
11. Ynet trips over itself to publish a flawed, leftist poll
Akiva ,   Jerusalem   (02.28.14)
The second I saw the sensationalist headline I knew this would be a sham, but I really had no idea it would be this blatant. Let's review, shall we? 1. The poll was commissioned by the "Israeli Peace Initiative" on the internet (more on that later). Now one doesn't need to be an informed individual to know that this group has an innate leftist/dovish bias. That said, one trip to the aforementioned website reveals they actively support the uprooting of Jews from their homes in the land of Israel, including the Golan Heights. Hardly impartial, don't you think? 2. By Ynet's own admission this was an online poll carried out in the hebrew language. How can a poll be expected to be taken as an accurate reflection of public opinion when it already excludes non-hebrew speaking Jews and non-internet owning Jews? 3. The carefully worded question about peace talks is a strawman. Ynet admit the question avoids the issue of splitting Jerusalem. The problem is though, Jerusalem IS on the table in Kerry's plan. Thus this poll is completely divorced from reality and it simply cannot be used to gauge public consensus on the current Kerry talks. 4. In fact, I believe we can use these poll results to say public consensus is NEGATIVE on the Kerry deal. Far less than 50% polled (which again, ignores a large subsect of right wing Jews - Ultra-Orthodox) were in support of East Jerusalem being on the table. As above, East Jerusalem IS on the table. Game over. Ynet, when will you learn?
12. 2/3 sceptical and 3/12 disagree and 1/12 Peace Now
Avram Goldsmith ,   Toronto, Canada   (02.28.14)
Am Israel hold the truth: Pal out
13. More Biased Polling
A Simple Jew ,   Tel Aviv   (02.28.14)
This is a biased organization trying to push an agenda, and its poll is just propaganda. In order to claim anything other than an overwhelming objection to Kerry's plan, they have to take out Jerusalem and the holy sites from the question. This poll reminds me the old joke "Other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how do you like the play?"
