How's the treaty between the Russian Federation and the Ukraine holding up?

Putin is not threatening the entire state of Ukraine. The independence of Ukraine from Russia is not being questioned. In Crimea there will be a referendum for the residents there to decide which country they prefer to go with. Since some 90% of people in Crimea are native Russians, they will probably vote for Russia. The West will not object to it, I hear the analysts here saying it already. So, what was your question?
