1. Putin tells America and the EU to take a walk
Al   (03.04.14)
In effect he tells them to butt out for this is according to him 'an internal Russian matter'. Obama can blow smoke up his wazzo for it will amount to nothing. Putin is in the business of securing Russia and its former Soviet glory. Obama is the equal opportunity President put into office by the trial lawyers and the special 'we want to be nice' IE Jews crowd. He is worthless and dangerously so. Maybe just maybe Israel will begin to see that American promises are worth nothing, but I doubt it. The reason is that Israeli leadership is replete with carpetbaggers, schnorrers and machers who only have their own interest at heart. In effect they can be bought off with a three day old felafel. The Israel people always get it in the neck as a result.

6. Putin playing "Holocaust in Ukraine" off of "Holodomor"
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (03.04.14)
...the first was perpetrated by Nazis, murdering 4 million, the second perpetrated by "Stalin's Jews", murdering up to 10 million.
7. There is only One Winner in this game-
Arn. ,   Sweden.   (03.04.14)
- even Russia. Germany will in the prolongaition of this conflict, soon show its ugly Historical face again., stirring up a new War in the Balkans. The US and France will then be forced to side with the Serbians, in order for not loosing their sacrifices from the First and Second World Wars, against Germany and Her Lapdogs. This will spell the breaking up of Nato and its demise. Just wait and see !. Arn.Sweden.
8. Russians Abroad
Tasha Svrof ,   NY, USA   (03.04.14)
Putin's claims that he has the right to defent Russians anywhere abroad has worried several countries with Russian peoples or their decendents among their population, fearing Putin may use this as an excuse to invade them too, seeing as how the US and EU do not want to go to war with Russia. Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Moldavia, Lithuania all now worry about this... Say, aren't some of Israel's population from the USSR? Didn't 1 million people emigrate (Liberman & Co) from the old Soviet Union in the 1990s? That makes them Russian Citizens too then. And just like the Tartars of Crimea (once exiles to Sibria by Stalin) and now woke up to find they are back under Moscow controls, perhaps you had better watch Mr Putin doesn't get any ideas about making all the old Soviet People bow to Moscow again.
9. obama is making promises to the Ukraine
Frank ,   rehovot   (03.04.14)
the problem is they come at the expense of Russia. Now the question is, if Obama holds true to form he will do nothing, so what are his promises worth to the Ukraine, or more importantly for us, what is his promise of "having our backs" worth? The answer is most decidedly NOTHING! but we shall see how he continues to negotiate while the world laughs....
10. @ 5 You Believe Putin?
Jones ,   Bristol, England   (03.04.14)
Putin, the Truthful, (former KGB agent, East Germany) the man who has rigged Russia's political system to ensure he can rule the nation for the next quarter century? Putin who has supported the Syrian Tyrant Assad, giving his weapons and support no matter how many people he has killed (regardless of Islamic nutters in Syria, you cannot tell me Assad is a good man). Putin, who spent millions of Russian money ensuring Yanukovych was elected as 'his man in Ukraine' and when the people protested peacefully insupport of the EU told him to crack down on them with armed riot police or Russian would not lend $13million to Ukraine. He has even lied about having Russian troops in Crimea!? Does anyone here really believe that the entire region was taken over by 'local militia as Putin himself stated on live TV this evening?
11. Russia Today
Jack London ,   London, UK   (03.04.14)
Last night I watched both CNN, BBC, & RT (Russia Today). While the first two showed the centre of Kiev, with shrines to the dead protesters, 80 of whom were shot dead by Yanukovych's snipers last week, and Western leaders walking around the square, peacefully. RT instead replayed footage of last week when the riot police fought the protesters, and the square burned with fire, bullets and moltov cocktails. They play this on every report, broadcast to the Crimea people, the message - 'Look, evil racist anarchists are EVEN NOW fighting in Kiev, There is no law and order ONLY FIRE!!! Aren't you glad 16,000 heavily armed Russian troops have just turned up on your doorstep to 'protect you'.
12. Abbas & Putin
Ivan ,   Russia, Moskova   (03.04.14)
Look at President Abbas. Isn't he a small man? An old man with glasses. Not a fighter, or a great speaker, or even a skilled political operatior (I mean even I could come up with a better plan to gain Palestine's freedom peacefully then he is doing). Abbas. So there he is. Could Israel hope for a more plient man to make peace with? With him there you could be the mighty neighbour to his weak and poor State of Palestine, secure in you might and in peace. Why not make peace with this man now, before someone worse replaced him? You never know, Putin likes getting one over the West, and what better way to do so, then threaten the West's darling state of Israel, and become Champion of the Arab world (and reduce Islamic threats to Russian, then deploy 10,000 troops, with to Palestine, and secure it's independence, and tell his pal Assad he can sent his disloyal 4 million Palestinian refugees out of Syria and home to Palestine.) Putin wants to make an example, and show Russia can get involved anywhere in the world. So make peace with Abbas now, and deny him the chance...
13. Actually 80 of the people died on Maidan were Militzioner
Miron ,   USA   (03.05.14)
who defended Ukrain constitutional government against fascist stormtroopers. Ukrainian militzia had no firearms. And experts ( unlike shoddy reporting ) say that arms used to shoot protesters differ from state issue ammunition. No different from what happened in Tzhinvali... That time we nearly lost our auto industry. This time it looks we will be loosing something more substantial.
14. To: No. 12
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.05.14)
You are either on drugs or in desperate need of them. You've launched yourself on truly a psychotic voyage. Russia will do this; Russia will do that; Russia will do the other. Meanwhile, some months ago, Israel blew up two huge warehouses in Latakia containing a vast number of Soviet missiles and missile launchers. Israel did this right under the nose of the Russian Navy, which is berthed off Latakia. What did Putin do? Nothing. You see, your rather fanciful jeremiad assumes that Israel will just sit back and let Putin do what he wants on Israeli territory. Here's a news flash, sluggo: Israel is not Ukraine.
15. @14. Moscow Rules
Ivan ,   Russia, Moskova   (03.05.14)
Russia does do this, Russia does to that. No one dares oppose them. Putin supplies Assad with arms, Putin sell air-defence system to Iran, neither the US or Israel appears to stop him. The IDF dare not bomb any Russia controled arms bases in Syria, just a few Hezbohallo convoys and offices. Bibi was in Washinton yesterday, he spoke not one word in support of Ukarine, and I read that the Westers press says it 'was because he was scared of offending President Putin'. Putin has a naval base in Syria, and may sent troops to his friend Egypt, and have Russian troops by the Suez or Sinai. Watch this space.
