1. M302 final destination
Steve Goodman ,   Israel   (03.06.14)
If we are to believe the Egyptian claims that they are shutting down tunnels leading from the Sinai to Gaza, and taking into consideration the size of the M302, thier FINAL DESTINATION would be to terrorist group/s in the Sinai.......take note we ceded Sinai and Gaza and we inherit rocket and missle launching areas, just think what we will inherit from cedeing the West Bank.....AM YISROEL CHAI
2. All true
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.06.14)
Which begs the question -- why devote so much time and effort to adopting a defensive position? Wouldn't it be far more prudent to simply eliminate the threat at its source? There is no doubt that if they could, Iran and its terrorist proxies would not hesitate for a moment to launch against Israel. Nor is there much doubt that the United States or any European powers would come to Israel's aid. Act now; explain later. In the long run, it will save Jewish lives. If the Iranians and their terrorist lapdogs have no problem sacrificing their people, that is their business. Israel is in the business of looking after Israelis and, in the greater picture, Jews everywhere. What are we waiting for?
3. If Iran is attacked
Yeoshua F. ,   N.Y   (03.06.14)
it will send planes to attack Israel itself, and not just throw missiles from long distance. Besides, as we´ve seen from recent years, all these ¨iron david shields¨ or whatever they´re called are nothing to brag about. Even if the majority of Iran´s missiles will be intercepted, the sheer amount of the missiles launched will mean that statistically some will hit. Hamas is not a part of Iran´s Israel strategy. They are not on good terms and Gaza has little strategic value to Iran. Iran will use Iraq, Lebanon and Syria as forward bases in the event of a war with Israel, which is why preserving Assad´s regime in Syria is so important to them. I seriously doubt the authenticity of this operation. Iran would have already learned from past attempts to not ship missiles in open sea like that and it might be an Israeli false flag op designated to shift the world´s opinion against Iran in a time when relations between Iran and the west are warming up. The timing looks suspicious to me.
4. The Israeli made a big mistake (again)
Non Jewish immigrant ,   Haifa   (03.06.14)
International right is very clear. No army can intervene in international waters on ships that aren't registered in the same army's country. Otherwise said, Israel army can only intervene on Israeli ships in international waters. For those who claim it was legitimate defense also here the law is clear: it has to be an armed aggression first and no shootings were made on the Israeli vessels. How come the IDF keeps making such stupid mistakes that will play unfavorabely against it?
5. 4
(03.06.14)
because these israeli operations can and will save your ass, moron....so one day you, in haifa won;t wake up with this iranian missile up your butt.

8. Re #4
Eric ,   Herzliya   (03.06.14)
Actually, you are right that Israel made a mistake, but it was not simply sinking ALL of the ships headed for Gaza plus cutting the water and the power.
9. Let the Panamanian government complain then
re #4   (03.06.14)
I'm sure that the government of Panama will lodge a complaint with the relevant UN body, if they are interested.

Manny ,   Ashdod   (03.06.14)
14. Stating the obvious
Non Jewish immigrant ,   Haifa   (03.06.14)
Why stating the obvious makes you all angry? There are international forces who deal with these kind of problems. Israel wants to act on her own. Very well, but there's a price to pay!
15. 14
(03.06.14)
by the time all your international forces begin to even contemplate acting on the iranians and iran as a terror sponsor, you will already, by then, have this missile deep up your butt, reaching all the way to your already defunct brain.
16. To: No. 4
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.06.14)
Oh, but you are wrong. The vessel's bills of lading and cargo manifests made no mention that it was carrying arms -- a clear violation of international law. I remind you that the Cyprus Coast Guard intercepted and boarded a vessel carrying Iranian arms intended for Hezbollah. Where were your shouts of protest then? The U.S. has also stopped and boarded vessels carrying contraband. So have a whole host of other countries. That's black-letter law. Contraband is contraband, and the KLOS-C was carrying contraband. Israel had an affirmative duty to stop the vessel, which was sailing in violation of a long list of maritime laws. But if you hate Israel so much -- and it is clear that you do -- why haven't you gathered up your little Arab boy-toy and gone back to your country? Wouldn't you be ever so much happier there?
17. To: No. 3
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.06.14)
You need to lay off the magic mushrooms, ace. They've addled what passes for your already-compromised "brain." No false flag operation. Just Iran, violating international law -- same old, same old. Nothing wrong with Israel giving Iran the opportunity to show its true face to the world. And nothing "suspicious" about the timing of the vessel intercept. It was taken down exactly where it needed to be taken down. Are you always this paranoid? P.S. Thee was no second shooter on the grassy knoll, either.
18. How dare Israel stop this ship!!
Brett L ,   JHB RSA   (03.06.14)
The ship was carrying implements used by gazan farmers!! When will the world come to realise that the iraninsaholes are trouble. Of course they deny any knowledge, must be an Israeli plant!!
19. @ 4 You made a big mistake (again)
Israel ben Yaakov ,   Malmö Sweden   (03.06.14)
What a "Non Jewish immigrant , Haifa"?, = ARAB?
20. #4 statement is just a joke, quite funny indeed.
Ibraim Sued ,   Rio de Janeiro   (03.06.14)
21. Nobody buy what Israel peddles.
Avi ,   NYC, USA   (03.06.14)
What a coincidence! Just as Netanyahu goes to the White House and AIPAC, this fortunate operation occurs! And why would the Iranians get missiles from Syria, if they have their own stock to send to Sudan for Gaza? It appears that Israel is running out of bunnies to pull out of its hat, or yarmulka.
22. Another act of piracy ,...
split ,   US   (03.06.14)
23. SPIT is angry because it worked and BYE BYE Iranian missiles
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (03.06.14)
24. The benefit of lack of PR for Israel hurt Obama
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (03.06.14)
Since there is no mentioning of the operation in the US and world media they also do not broadcast Obama's lie that he assisted Israel.
25. non-Jewish immigrant Haifa #14
Arnold-Canada ,   Montreal   (03.06.14)
you said "There are international forces who deal with these kind of problems." Sure they do. The set up a meeting for some time next week. Then they get to the meeting and set up an agenda. then they decide to meet in another week to follow the agenda. Then they get together and someone objects to the agenda. In the meantime the rockets are raining down on Israel.
26. #4, Arab illegal occupier
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (03.06.14)
27. #21, you live in denial, Israel will catch more w. impunity
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (03.06.14)
28. Non Jewish immigrant Haifa
Arnold-Canada ,   Montreal   (03.06.14)
If someone you knew was coming to your home to break in and or harm your family and according to the law you could do nothing till this person actually did the deed what would you do. Would you try to stop this person while en route or would you wait at home and then try to stop this person. Be honest with yourself before answering.
29. IranS denials of its involvement in the missle affair
David ,   Montreal, Canada   (03.06.14)
International law ? The international lawyers should kiss my tuches with their nonsensical and specioua argumemts about Israel's unilateralism and its right to initiate premptive strikes whenever and wherever they are required. And in so far as the American media is concerned, what do you expect from those morons ?
30. 16
yonatan Allon ,   adelaide/Israel   (03.06.14)
